I must say the whole name change thing is saddening when we should be celebrating what could be our best ever season with our greatest ever squad, however I want to thank the Chairman for continuing to back his manager and bring on the team despite everything. I also thought he was quite noble in saying he would continue to back the manager despite the club being up for sale and the anticipated CTWD onslaught. If he really was crazy he would have dropped us in it. I know he is looking after his investment but still, I thought it was reassuring. I just can't see a positive outcome at the moment, all I see is that today's news conference will mean CTWD as a response will drive a wedge between groups of fans and the board creating tensions or the club. I would say to CTWD there is nothing new to lobby against. The FA decision is done. It is now a waiting game for the COA. I would say to Dr Allam that today was disappointing and I would look for a buyer knowing you are leaving the club infinitely better than you found it. Maybe Look for a sugar daddy investor but don't look to Russia. Anyone with money is subject to EU and UN sanctions because of Ukraine and MH17. Its a sad day to be a Hull City supporter
I think this is a great day to be a supporter of Hull City Football Club, at last I can see an end to the f**wittery that has blighted the club for far too long.
you are correct that there is nothing for ctwd to lobby against. but they know this, so i don't know why you expect an "onslaught". they have been asked their opinion. that is how the media works. interesting that you describe the chairman's promise to continue to provide support as 'noble'. some might see it as aiming not to devalue his investment, though you did consider that. some might see the summer's transfer activity in the same way. but who doesn't clean the car when they want to sell it? c.a.s. will not overturn the f.a.'s decision. the f.a. followed its procedures and that is the end of it. the appeal is futile and doomed, and a waste of time and money. perhaps the chairman wanted an exit route. many of us find his reasoning strange, but if he needs an out, he will have one.
What a shambles that was his hatred of the council came out of that press conference. Even if HCC offered the kc for **** all he could not except because he will not have any dealings with them and we all know he is a man of his word so his own pride of going back on his word would **** any deal up . What a ****ing mess SO YES THANK YOU MR ALLAM
You mentioned CTWD three times in your post, in stark contrast to Aseem Allam, who did't mention us at all. CTWD will play no part in the CAS appeal, it's an appeal based only on the technicalities of the FA's proceedure, to make sure they followed their own rules, which I'm sure they did.
Well wrote, i feel the same, you have put it into words. better than i could I think Mr Allam is great, and support him, put personally he should drop the fight for the name, as its doing him or the Club no good He is 75, he should be putting his feet up and looking back at all the good he has done
ESA the tensions were lifting before yesterday and would have virtually disappeared after the transfer deadline day signings. The 19.04 chant was the quietest ever against Stoke. The fans don't seek confrontation with the board and the press conference was unprovoked. After the latest Allam's embarrassing outburst he alone has stirred the wasps nest not CTWD and we all know the 19.04 chant and probably loads of banners are going to return for the West Ham game. He is incapable of listening to PR advice or building bridges. CTWD has support across the fanbase and shouldn't just be associated with chants from North Stand. AA has called it on this time.
