Fifa has always been a joke, it's just a shame in the last few years that PES has been an even bigger joke. As soon as PES releases something akin to PES6 for the modern day I will switch back instantly. Really miss master league.

Yes they normally update them based on form from week to week.
Can't believe sterling and studges ratings nor hendo's all three should be at least 2 more overall.
Just makes you laugh when you see Wayne "world class" Rooney is rated 86!

Wayne Rooney is usually about 105 and he's impossible to tackle, faster & strong than any other player and can score from any angle within 40 yards of the goal. So 86 is an improvement.

  4. The overall rating means very little. You can put a CBs finishing up to 99 and it won't make a difference. Same for putting a strikers tackling right up too

  5. Can anyone tell me if they've got rid of that god awful scouting network system on career mode?

Its not that I don't like the idea but its meant to be a bit of fun, I don't want to have to spend ages setting up a scouting network and searching through hundreds of players each time I want to buy someone! Its not so bad if you're at a top club and can afford the top players who we all already know but its a ****ing nightmare if you take over a lower ranked side like Stags!!!

  7. I doubt any of you are interested since you didn't answer (#batards) but here's what I've found for career mode:

    http://www.easports.com/uk/fifa/news/2014/fifa-15-career-mode

Seems the searching as been improved. Interesting to know what the 'Intuitive Player Search' search is though.

Downloaded the demo last night (its out on PS4 now for anyone interested) and have to say i'm very impressed.
I think with the next gen theres a massive stepup in Gameplay and presentation.
The player instructions you quoted from EA are brilliant and really help to make the teams play exactly how you want them to play.
I've been playing a 4-5-1 with sterling in behind sturridge, using the player instructions to give Sterling a free roaming role and telling Sturridge to get inbehind they have been linking up really well.
I've also been telling gerrard to stay back when attacking stopping him maruading forward and leaving me open to the counter attack!

They have also added Sturridges signature wiggly arm dance clelebration, but its not a dance like he does in real life, he does'nt move his hips at all so he looks like a jellyfish.
I noticed as well when i played chelsea and tried to do it, he refused to celebrate and made a "calm down" gesture as his teamates tried to jump on him, really cool that they added that in.
I'll try scoring with suarez tonight against us and see if he does the same or if they added his kissing ring finger celebration.

  9. Tossers!! <grr>

In the majority of instances, I bloody hate the 'respect your former team' bullshit. Sure, if its a player that was at one club as a youth and part of the first team for so many years then fine, but doing it when you played one season for the other club is ridiculous!

I know what you mean, but i can see it from the players point of view they have just scored against their old team mates which in some instances might mean more to them than the actual club.
If my memory serves me right didnt sturridge score a belter for us the year before last against chelsea and didnt celebrate, atleast it realistic.

  11. Surely the emotion over having scored a goal should overrule? Plus, I'd love the opportunity to rub up my ex-teammates too <laugh>

Horses for courses, I'd feel happy but I'd feel like a d**k for dumping on my mates.

How about if we drew Barca in the CL and Luis scored to knock us out and celebrated?
    I'd think hes was a right T**T

  15. I would expect him to celebrate and I think he would. Same goes for Torres. I'd be pissed off about conceding, not the player celebrating <ok>

Your a more forgiving man than myself. Its weird how it works though for me anyway.

I couldn't give a toss if Torres scores past us and celebrates, but if mascherano, Alonso or suarez did i wouldn't be happy.
Perhaps its because Torres left on such a sour note claiming he'd gone to a bigger club whilst the rest thanked the supporters for their time with us,
or because bottom line he left us for a direct rival.
I certainly wouldn't of been happy if Alonso had joined Chelsea this summer as rumoured.

  17. Surprise that you have those that way around. Apart from immediately after the move, Torres seems to associate with us still whereas Mascherano as never seemed bothered. Both forced a move too but one refused to play for us, something I consider worse than submitting a transfer request in the final hour.

When watching them game I'd be gutted. Afterwards I tend to think how I'd be and think its fair game. I'd be pissed off if someone like Fowler, McManaman or Owen had done it as they came through the youth ranks and I'd be disappointed if someone like Alonso or Hyypia did it purely because of how they associate themselves to the club.

I think i respect Masch more he always worked his socks off where as torres sulked for a year,
although i don't blame him too much i sulked for a year when Woy was in charge.

I was even willing us to lose against everton after the takeover so they'd give him the boot and we could start rebuilding.

If he did his standard kiss the wrist celebration I wouldn't have a problem

If he started kissing the Barcelona badge then he'd be a ****

  20. Fair point on the sulking. He sulked towards the end of Rafa's reign too, basically when we weren't winning every week. Can't blame him but he still shouldn't have done it. I'm convinced he is a feeling player; by that, I mean he always seemed to play better when he was smiling. when he first arrived he never argued with officials or teammates and smiled a lot, by the end he was the complete opposite as was his scoring record.

I'd never hope for a loss but I do understand what you're saying <ok>
