Good Morning Everyone, How are we? So Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is the latest former player to be linked to the Elland Road hot seat... Apparently anyone associated with the club, or who has had dealings with the club are, will or has been odds on favourite at some time in the past fortnight.... I might put a sneaky fiver on David Haigh, you never know!!!!! If a suitable replacement cannot be found, the position will be given to Redfearn. Ok, he's not a household name, but surely he's a safe pair of hands. What would be your opinion? Should Redders get the nod? Leeds are still waiting for international clearance to play Montenegro and Del Fabro. South American football expert Tim Vickery is excited about Montenegro's potential.... “He’s a player I like and that could be a really good piece of business for Leeds,” Vickery said. “He wasn’t ready for West Ham and he moved there at entirely the wrong time. He was treated like a commodity and got completely lost in their structure but he went back to Paraguay and started scoring goals again. “Leeds have got a quick, left-footed centre-forward on their hands – and a good one at that.” Can't believe its 13 years today that the terrorist attacks on the twin towers occurred. The TV coverage showing people throwing themselves off the towers are still very vivid in my mind today. Rest in Peace.
Morning all - I always thought Cellino would give Redfearn a chance, he has nothing to lose, do well and Redfearn keeps it until it goes tits up or lose a couple and Cellino can say he was looking for the right man. I have seen so many names linked with us who I would welcome but as we are seeking a coach I don't beleive any proven or top named guy would be willing to take the hot seat unless given full control of team affairs. That being said with the transfer window closed any new guy has to make do with what he has. To be honest I would rather have a Fowler or Hasselbaink as coach over another non league guy like Hockaday. Any decent non league or lower division guy is either trying to rebuild their career or they have an abysmal track record, why not go with an unproven coach who is a household name. I heard a rumour of Fowler and Macca double team joining, I would welcome that, it wouldn't be my first choice but being realistic my first choices are not going to come.
Morning ristac, I think Fowler dismissed speculation that he was interested, but Hasselbiank certainly is. He treated the club badly though.
Good morning from a hazy Cote de Bardsey to MATT and co I think that Redders will be given 2 matches to prove himself lets face it if we cant beat Brum he his not up for the job! The likely candidates will not be offered lots of money those days are over so Haselbaink need not apply we had enough trouble with him last time he was here demanding this and that showing no loyalty to the club lets face it put him on the road to vast richess I would offer a salary around 300k with a bonus of a further 300k if we got promotion and lets face it he has assembled the makings of a good team its up to whoever to put the jigsaw together The chap Shaun Harvey running the FL was very ill advised when he decided to take on Cellino he didn't amass all this wealth without a very shrewd brain I would back him against Bates anyday there is a big difference between the 2 one I believe wants the club to flourish as he sees it as a challenge the other takes us all for fools So for me Steve Clarke did well at West Brom I would give him a chance but on a year on roll on contractthat way if he fails it wont cost us to much money mike
Morning all. Agree with Ristacs points. Of more immediate interest to me is the three points on offer Saturday. A win and we can put the nonsensical talk of relegation to bed and start aiming for mid table. Want to see another positive performance and not one of those inept efforts we regularly produce after a win. As for Harvey and the FL efforts, I think they will fail. Cellino will be even more determined to succeed and give them the two fingers. I dont think they'll fancy having to take him on legally after their last fiasco
Morning all ... smash the Brum is most important thing now ... the way Harvey was talking was as if its going to happen ... how nice of him to say he would give the club reasonable time to bring in a new owner ... regardless of what we think of the FL, the knives are sharpened and they will disqualify Cellino if they get any ammunition, and there is nothing Cellino can do to stop it as its a constitution law broken not a public law ... watch this space On managers, Fowler did apply but word is Cellino isn't interested ... been told yet again a good result on Saturday in front of the cameras and Redders has the job if he wants it Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Morning all We really could do with a win on Saturday whether its Redders trying to get the job or whatever. Need to be able to kick on now. The international break should have given plenting of gelling time in training for the new players, so that'll get less acceptable as an excuse for poor performances. As for Harvey and his little grudge, it seems he will press this one all the way to the end and in whatever way possible. But I'd assume Cellino was more than aware of this possibility when he bought the club and it will be no surprise to him. Harvey really does need to realise that yes, while the FL have to pursue something like this, the perverse way he seems to be getting pleasure out of it just makes him look jealous and bitter
Morning, I'm definitely of the opinion we shouldnt get Redfearn in as full time manager, and my reasoning has nothing to do with needing him for the academy. Whilst he would (probably) be a step up from Hockaday, I still think that on past performance as caretakers we've never looked that good under him. A couple of decent results followed by a couple of abject performances, yet funny how no fans that are call for him to get the job remember those. We need someone better, with more experience who may get us up into contention in the play-offs as I fear another inexperienced manager will see us write the season off by Xmas again. My biggest fear is that we win against Birmingham at the weekend and Cellino awards him the position after just two wins! He'll soon lose more and he'll be gone and we will be searching for our 3rd manager of the season by November!! And then at least if we try and experienced manager and still fail we've got least given it a proper shot this year, but if its two inexperienced managers in the early part of the season (and they both fail) I'll certainly be looking back at what would have been if we'd shown more ambition and got someone better in to coach the players
Morning all. Personally, I'd give Redders an opportunit short term to show what he can do until a credible opportunity can be found. We've nothing to lose, and will give a few of the kids a genuine opportunity to show what they can do in the face of competition from all these new imports. A win win all round really
Redfearn didn't want the job full time 2.5-3 years ago, can't see him wanting it now. I'm happy for him to continue with the job he's doing anyway to be fair. He could step up, struggle, and then be lost to Leeds anyway.
Looks like he'll be guilty of Culpable Homicide. 7 or 8 years? Out in 3? I personally have no doubt he's guilty of cold blooded murder.
he may even get house arrest, should be getting life in truth, another OJ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Josh if you've ever been to South Africa or visited the area where he lives, you'll know what he's guilty of. Me, I've been there and visited the compound on which he lives, I look forward to our discussion should I ever manage to get a 'kin away ticket before they all get nicked by STOs.
I'm not old enough to remember the OJ verdict but I'm totally shocked by the verdict. I can see him getting a very lenient sentence for Culpable Homicide and possibly nothing for the gun chargers. The question must be asked who sleeps with a gun under their pillow and if they hear noise doesn't check to see if their other half is in bed
The oj trial just proved money and the best lawyers can get anyone off a murder rap. Pistorius trial is basically a sickening repeat. Imagine how that girls parents feel seeing that bastard basically walk free. If I was her dad, he wouldnt
