Define "dodgy". If you mean, "drunk Saints fans", then yes. You get served quickly no matter how packed it is, though. I've never been outside of match days.
If by 'dodgy' you mean full of shirters, then yes it is very dodgy. I'll never trust an adult wearing a replica shirt in public.
Thanks FLT, i'd been meaning to look at different places to park instead of my usual haunt of Bedford Place and it looks like that pub is in the right area. What's parking like on a matchday? Cheers
Where were you all? I thought we were all meeting up tonight. You've been going on and on about it for days. I have been all round the pubs of Southampton this evening trying to find where you all were and asking if anyone has seen fatletiss, jenthesaint99 or PompeyLapras and they all looked at me as if I was daft. You lot couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery or maybe you were all trying to avoid me. Come on which is it?
When organising an event, never offer choices as there will be as many as there are people. Name a place, time and date...take it or leave it. #voiceofexperience
The Farmhouse is great - big enough not to get TOO crowded, good beer and food (imo) and on my way from home to St. Marys (always a plus) - happy to meet there before a home game.
12.30 - The Old Farmhouse. September 27 before the QPR game. I'll be the old guy leaning on the end of the bar in a Saints polo shirt ...............
It gets busy around there and a lot of roads are no parking areas. I either park on Empress Road, or go by the pub, over the railway crossing and then turn left into the little industrial area there. Can be busy after the game due to the crossing, but after that it's only a few minutes to the motorway.
That's a date. I'll be there, but I suggest out in the back garden as the bar will be very busy. My son will be in his Jesters hat
