Hi i'm from toonforum.co.uk and we like to ask opposition fans questions before the match to use in our pre match build up. We are grateful to everyone who takes the time to help us. Thanks in advance!

1 – Where do you think you’ll finish this season? What about Newcastle?
2 – New signings you think will make the biggest/smallest impact for both clubs?
3 – What young players could make an impact?
4 – Who is your most important player?
5 – If you could have one football player, past or present, live in your spare room who would it be and why?
6 – What are your thoughts on our under fire manager Alan Pardew? Was he this disliked when he managed Saints?
7 - Do you think the club have reinvested the large amounts from player sales well? / How weaker (or stronger) would you say your squad is after the eventful summer transfer window you had?
8 - What do you think of the signing of Fraser Forster? Has he started well for you?
9 - What changes has Koeman made since he took over?

2-0 Saints. I really want a 6-0 battering though because in both of the last two home games it should have been that and my mate is a Toon fan :)

1 – Where do you think you’ll finish this season? What about Newcastle?
    Saints 9th, Newcastle 11th
2 – New signings you think will make the biggest/smallest impact for both clubs?
Tadic and Forster for us, I would've said de Jong for you guys...tough break on that one
3 – What young players could make an impact?
James Ward-Prowse, Targett if he gets a chance
4 – Who is your most important player?
    Split between Fonte and Schneiderlin
5 – If you could have one football player, past or present, live in your spare room who would it be and why?
Paul Merson, so i could lock him in there and not have to hear his stupid opinions anymore
6 – What are your thoughts on our under fire manager Alan Pardew? Was he this disliked when he managed Saints?
Say what you will but at least he's not boring...just inept
7 - Do you think the club have reinvested the large amounts from player sales well? / How weaker (or stronger) would you say your squad is after the eventful summer transfer window you had?
Very early to say with so many changes. If they gel we'll be a better team with more depth that last year
8 - What do you think of the signing of Fraser Forster? Has he started well for you?
Excellent so far, some fine saves and not at fault for any goals as of yet
9 - What changes has Koeman made since he took over?
A better mentality and greater desire to win, not just play out a game.
    10 - Scoreline Prediction?
    Saints 2 - 0 Newcastle

    1: 8th for Saints, 14th for Newcastle
2: Dusan Tadic for Saints, I've honestly no idea about what Newcastle have done in the transfer market, apart from let players go so I don't know if there are any new ones that will make an impact.
3: James Ward-Prowse is already making an impact, Harrison Reed will feature too. Plus Matt Targett at left back when he gets a chance
4: Morgan Schneiderlin, without any doubt. Controls our midfield, fantastic player
5: Guly, don't really know why other than he is an absolute top guy and would have great parties
6: Pardew was always a marmite sort of character for Saints fans, and in my view was very limited tactically. I didn't like the guy and was glad when he got sacked
    7: I think we're stronger now, as a squad
8: Fraser will be great for us, and has started confidently. I fully expect that to continue
9: I think we play less of a continuous pressing game, and he tends to have a plan B or C if a change is needed. Something that Pardew and Pochettino didn't seem to have.
10: 3 -1 to Saints, although I'd like to hope we can keep a clean sheet

1 – Where do you think you’ll finish this season? What about Newcastle? I would be very happy with a top half finish. As for you guys, it depends how soon Ashley gets rid of Pards.
2 РNew signings you think will make the biggest/smallest impact for both clubs? For us, Tadic and Alderweireld are the obvious ones, but Man̩ and Gardos are good signings and even Pell̬ could surprise people once he gets used to Premier League CB's. For you, Cabella and De Jong are both great signings.
3 – What young players could make an impact? James Ward-Prowse is a future England captain if there is any justice in the world, but our next batch of new Arsenal/Man U/Liverpool/Spurs stars is almost ready.
4 – Who is your most important player? Schneiderlin.
5 – If you could have one football player, past or present, live in your spare room who would it be and why? Matt Le Tissier would cost too much to feed so I'll go for Big Ron Davies, my childhood hero.
6 – What are your thoughts on our under fire manager Alan Pardew? Was he this disliked when he managed Saints? He was never actively disliked, and a lot of us defended him when we were warned about him by West Ham / Charlton fans. He did well in his first season, starting with signing Rickie Lambert and taking us from -10 points to 7th place in League One. Then he managed to wear all the players out in preseason and we had a terrible start, so most of us had mixed feelings when he was sacked. Like our most recent manager, his ego stops him seeing his own failings and he has no Plan B.
7 - Do you think the club have reinvested the large amounts from player sales well? / How weaker (or stronger) would you say your squad is after the eventful summer transfer window you had? I think despite losing some great players we are overall stronger in terms of squad depth, which has been a problem since we got back to the Prem.
8 - What do you think of the signing of Fraser Forster? Has he started well for you? Yes, he's great. None of the 3 goals we have conceded so far have been his fault, and he's made some good saves.
9 - What changes has Koeman made since he took over? Refreshing honesty: I've never known a manager actually answer questions about injured players or transfer targets quite so directly, and his post-match interviews show great insight into where we have done well, or not. In terms of playing style, we still press quite high but not as intensively as Pochettino had us playing, which means the players keep going for 90 minutes. The big change though, is in his ability to change tactics if things aren't going well, which is something we haven't seen for ages.
    10 - Scoreline Prediction? 4-1 to Saints.

1 – Where do you think you’ll finish this season? What about Newcastle?
    Southampton 11th. Newcastle 12th
2 – New signings you think will make the biggest/smallest impact for both clubs?
Southampton: Biggest Impact - Tadic. Smallest Impact - Taider if that counts if not Gardos. Newcastle: Biggest Impact - Riviere. Smallest Impact - Perez
3 – What young players could make an impact?
Southampton: Lloyd Isgrove, Sam Gallagher and James Ward-Prowse Newcastle: Rolando Aarons
4 – Who is your most important player?
    Morgan Schneiderlin
5 – If you could have one football player, past or present, live in your spare room who would it be and why?
Jimmy Bullard because he is hilarious!!
6 – What are your thoughts on our under fire manager Alan Pardew? Was he this disliked when he managed Saints?
Big coup for a league one side and led us to the JPT but very pleased we got rid.
7 - Do you think the club have reinvested the large amounts from player sales well? / How weaker (or stronger) would you say your squad is after the eventful summer transfer window you had?
Arguably stronger and made a profit too! We got players from overseas for less money with similar talent.
8 - What do you think of the signing of Fraser Forster? Has he started well for you?
Has made 1 or 2 great saves and hope he can push Hart for Engalnds num
    ber 1.

9 - What changes has Koeman made since he took over?
Philosophy has changed around the club and players say they feel fresher going into games. And the fact we actually have a plan B.
    10 - Scoreline Prediction?
    3-1 Southampton

1 – Where do you think you’ll finish this season? What about Newcastle?
    Saints 9th, Newcastle 13th

2 – New signings you think will make the biggest/smallest impact for both clubs?
Saints Tadic, not really seen the rest play yet so? Newcastle, sorry no idea.

3 – What young players could make an impact?
James Ward-Prowse, Matt Target if he gets played.

4 – Who is your most important player?
    Schneiderlin.

5 – If you could have one football player, past or present, live in your spare room who would it be and why?
Frank Worthington. I'd love to be his wingman.

6 – What are your thoughts on our under fire manager Alan Pardew? Was he this disliked when he managed Saints?
Never disliked him. Goodish manager in L1, out of his depth in the Prem.

7 - Do you think the club have reinvested the large amounts from player sales well? / How weaker (or stronger) would you say your squad is after the eventful summer transfer window you had?
Surprised at how well money was re-invested. Squad about the same level as last year, but quite a few other clubs have increased their strength so we will struggle to maintain our standing.

8 - What do you think of the signing of Fraser Forster? Has he started well for you?
    Good signing, good start.

9 - What changes has Koeman made since he took over?
I think the team seems more flexible this season. The high pressing game did not always get the reward possession stats might suggest.

    10 - Scoreline Prediction?
    2-2 draw.

1 – Where do you think you’ll finish this season? What about Newcastle?Saints 11th Newcastle 12th
2 – New signings you think will make the biggest/smallest impact for both clubs?Alderweireld hopefully and Tadic and for you guys Cabella and De Jong look great signings
3 – What young players could make an impact?Matt Targett is getting rave reviews for a nipper, but James Ward Prowse is the obvious answer
4 – Who is your most important player?Morgan Schneiderlin stands out but I expect Wanyama or Tadic to be big players this season
5 – If you could have one football player, past or present, live in your spare room who would it be and why?Mikey Channon for me, good laugh, enjoyed a pint, pretty basic at times but great, great player
6 – What are your thoughts on our under fire manager Alan Pardew? Was he this disliked when he managed Saints? We had heard stories about him when he arrived, but he did well for us. Bought the great Rickie Lambert and built a good team. One great criticism was that he never had a plan B when changes were needed when things on the park weren't going well
7 - Do you think the club have reinvested the large amounts from player sales well? / How weaker (or stronger) would you say your squad is after the eventful summer transfer window you had?Far to early to tell, we have a lot of new players
8 - What do you think of the signing of Fraser Forster? Has he started well for you?Looks a great signing so far
9 - What changes has Koeman made since he took over? He's certainly won over us supporters pretty quickly when some of us were borderline suicidal, seems very honest and attracts good players to the club
    10 - Scoreline Prediction?You never know with Saints [or Newcastle]quite what your gonna get but I fancy a scraped 1 - 0

Good luck to you boys this season, difficult to see you finishing as high as last season, but you have quality players? One team I think that really will struggle is Poyet's mob down the road from you guy's?

It made me smile. Sad maybe but there you are.
Half way through completing my response I started to feel just as CBK depicts but lacked the character and strength to abort.

Why do any of us post. What's the point. No one cares, not even enough to hate us. Lets just end it all. Now.

I'm afraid I am with CBK on this. They are stupid questions and I cannot answer any of them in an informed way so I shall not bother.

Ask me what I had for supper this evening and I can tell you.

There are some things I know and others about which I haven't a clue. For example I do not know a single Newcastle player by name and that doesn't worry me one jot, I don't know what the score will be this weekend nor do I know who will succeed this season. Ask me in June and I will be able to give you an informed answer to most of your questions.

As for question 5 I daren't ask the very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov who she would have in the house as I already know the answer to that and if he were to sleep in our spare room I know I would find it very lonely all by myself in my bed at night.

Saint Joey said he'd have Brett Ormerod live in his spare room because he'd make him look sexy (in comparison?). I'd have him live in my spare room because he looks like he needs a really strong cup of tea, poor pettle.

Only answering to 5 :) All the rest are gonna be pretty similar to other peoples.

    5) I would have Matt Le Tissier stay in my spare bedroom so that I can share celebrating with him. He is useless at being a Neutral on Sky and we would be bouncing around at each Saints goal
