Because the lead singer is a prick. Tax exile, yet preaches charity to all. But some of there early stuff was fantastic.
I heard they made a **** load when Facebook floated on the stock market! U2 invested in zuckerberg when it was in its infancy! Maybe they've got interests in iTunes also! Obviously have some clever advisors! :-(

It's pretty obvious what the thread is about. If you don't like the tread then just skip over it. We're in the middle of a international break they're isn't loads to talk about other then the ownership which is contained in one thread.

Four posts in and your telling other posters what to talk about? OT means off-topic, if you only want Hull City threads, avoid the ones with OT at the front and you'll be laughing.
I like to think there's a parallel universe in which U2 split up after The Joshua Tree and none of the crap they've spewed out over the last 25 years happened (or Bono's arrogant preening or their tax-avoiding shame).
The only point of U2 was to provide Viz with one of their greatest cartoon gags. Mum and little girl at a U2 gig and Mum is saying "Careful now, don't go near The Edge."
I thought Actung Baby and Rattle and Hum where good albums. It's interesting that bands are using free CD's as a advert for there live shows now.
