That's Hank Hill whose boy goes to Tom Landry Middle school.

"Maybe my father is Tom Landry. That would explain my strong chin and my love for the flex defense. I wonder if I would call him "dad" or "coach". Nah who am I kidding? I would call him "sir."

Found this one this morning, Jerry Jones clapping for Tony Romo, he completed a pass, to a team mate no less! For a TD.

it was the poor play calling that boiled my beans Cove. Morris, who could be a great running back, only gets 14 carries.
Griffin gets a lot of 3-4 yard passes which goes nowhere and, as you say, Watt was all over the line. no wonder he got that contract. if he can stay healthy he looks a monster.

I usually watch NFL Redzone on Sunday night and the plays that they showed from that game was mostly about defense, the blocked punt, RG3 getting sacking, turnovers, and everytime Brooks Reed was there together with Watt. So didn't get to see much offensive plays on that game so I trust your judgement on that.

I'm curious though, what did you think of Shanahan getting sacked?

you could see that coming a mile off. lost the team in my opinion. they got him in because he's an offensive genius and he hands over the co-ordinating job to his lad. when things start to go wrong on offence he bottled out taking over. he didn't seem bothered last season.
also indecisive about his qb's. RG3? Kirk Cousins even Mcnabb he didn't know or couldn't make up his mind.

Just watched the game, Flacco was on the money, Rothlisberger out of his depth with that Steelers offense. Torey Smith had a brilliant game but that Steelers defense is like a concrete wall in the redzone, can't count the number of times they stopped the Ravens at the goal line. Even though I had the Steelers picked, I'm pretty confident the extra point will go to this game with 6 FG <cool>

Some nice moves by Le'Veon last night. Ravens looked very professional throughout.

Plenty of parents spank their child, and this is essentially the same thing. Perhaps a tad overly enthusiastic, nevertheless, banning for life and jail seems a bit extreme.

And what's this about deactivating Peterson for the game against the Patriots? We need players of his ability to defeat the Patriots and Brady's merry men.

Stuffing leaves in a 4yr olds mouth and beating him with a tree branch is not spanking. I can not agree with you at all, and using "a tad overly enthusiastic" to discribe child abuse is disgusting. I thought better of you Lapras.

Quote: The charges reportedly stem from an incident in which Peterson allegedly punished his 4-year-old son by whipping him with a tree branch, leaving cuts and bruises on the boy’s legs, backs, buttocks, hand and scrotum.
End quote.

Okay, having read it in more detail he certainly overstepped the mark and the complete over-the-top beating of his son was not remotely justified and pretty disgusting, however plenty of 'old school' parents still believe in spanking or beating their children (although I personally don't believe in spanking or anything like that). For example, my dad used to use his belt buckle to beat my sisters with. In a situation like this, it's important to consider whether he has a history of child abuse or if this was a one off, or whether he has a history of being violent and aggressive. Therefore I think in this circumstance rather than jail, either an anger management or parenting course might be more effective.

Dubbing about switching my pick to the Pats now that the Vikings are without Peterson. Considering Brady and his offense were pretty bleak last week... I better wait till the IR is fully published.

If he'd done that to an adult he would be rightly charged with GBH or ABH at least. Why people still think it's alright to hit children I will never know.
