Sopranos is better than all of them imo. Maybe a tie with Breaking Bad. Oz's first four seasons (last two kinda s**tty in places) can go up against most as well. I normally keep a separate list for fav animated shows.

If we are talking sheer quality in relation to seasons, Carnivale was one of the finest shows I have ever seen. To cancel it after two seasons was outrageous and something I have never quite forgiven HBO for. The bullshit regarding Boardwalk Empire and this pathetic attempt to rap it all up in 8 episodes, skipping seven years in the process is the final nail in the coffin.

He's not shown much so far, except that he's pretty adept at missing a chance. He'll bag a goal or two, no doubt about it, but our foward line is one of the reasons everyone is so pessimistic at the moment. I'm actually much more excited about Perez, because he looks lively and inventive <ok>

    P.s
Simpsons > Futurama > Family Guy > American Dad

I'd add King of the Hill to the mix for cartoons.

I love that Manu Riviere is so average, the thread about him has turned into an american TV export love-in.

Can I just say I love 90% of the shows mentioned.

BRS - Carnivale - ah yet another show they couldn't be arsed to finish. There has been loads now. I even resent the cancelling of the not so good ones that were clearly losing direction. If you start something.................What was that one called Flash Forward. I have ended up watching so many of them, it is very annoying.

Take Boardwalk Empire - a brilliant show (as long as Margaret's character isn't on the screen) and they decide to pull the plug on it. Not the official line - Terence Winter making out that was the intention all along and apparently 'nothing much happened' during the seven years they have decided not to show which of course is utter f**ing bollocks!

I'm not watching seasons 5. Its nothing but a butchered rush job. Sad to see the show going out in such an absurd fashion.

Carnivale was a tragedy - I have rarely been so totally engrossed in a programme.

No, I sincerely hope he is and shows the improvement required, but at the moment I am not convinced at all. Saw the Gillingham game and he was anonymous. Personally I would start Perez, also unsure whether he'll be good enough but I think he looks more threatening than Riviere

The first series more than the second for me as the second was certainly dumbed down a lot. But it has to be one of the better series to have ever come out of the States, if not the best.

The title sequence was, incidentally, one of the best that I can recall. The whole thing was utterly magnificent.

Aaarrggh! A great series with great acting and a great cast (okay, mostly Brits it seems) but because it was being cancelled they reshot the last episode to make the answer a... Join the Frigging Dots Puzzle.

Unforgivable. The book, incidentally, was brilliant.

The series that I am pleased made it to the end was the reboot of Battlestar Galactica.
