lets get things in perspective regarding Allam 1 he rescued the club from obscurity 2 he appointed a Manager who is respected & knows what he is doing gaining promotion in his first stint 3 he allotted funds to buy up most probably the best squad ever assembled in City's colors 4 there is a sense of anticipation & excitement concerning the club Okay he tried to change the clubs name (big deal) Think we should be applauding & be grateful to what he has done not condemning him Dave Burdett
I have said this on another thread, but if he is to announce that the club has been sold, then one must assume the new or potential owners must have been privy to the last day of the window business, and have agree to it. If this is the case, then I guess it is good news that they support such dealings.
Yes, and you have conveniently left out the insults he threw the supporters way on more than one occasion.
The transfer dealings will bolster the saleability as they project HCAFC as a club with further potential and good investments. A new owner may have better relations with HCC & if you're Russian with a black suit and some half-shaven friends in sunglasses, the chances are the likes of Cnr Gerraghty won't stand in your way.. (did I imply sth there? No, I deny it..)
Why all the criticism & bad feeling towards Allam 1 he rescued the club financially and from obscurity 2 he appointed a Manager respected by all gaining promotion in his first stint 3 he gave funds to build most probably the best squad in the club's history 4 indirectly he has created a sense of anticipation & excitement regardding the club's future okay he tried to change the club's name - big deal We should be applauding not condemning the guy realistically it is down to him where we are now Dave Burdett
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
That's quite romantic.. but.. erm.. I should now feel **** in admitting that I made it up in a 'tongue in cheek' jibe at Happy Tiger.. if there was such a match then I just fluked the details!!
I don't think many people have had much of a dig at him for quite a while. I think people are just intrigued about what's going to be said and, dare I say, just about everyone who supports Hull City are hoping his message doesn't resurrect the Hull Tigers stuff. If it does...maybe then it'll be time to batten down the hatches.
No clue although as has been said why would you call a press conference to say that your son is doing the job that he has been doing for 6 months anyway.
It does seem odd that they would go through all that trouble just to announce that. I think we have been in discussions with somebody for a while regarding the sale of the club.
Would love to see Gerraghty & Brady stand in the way and end up as part of the foundations of the new cruise terminal.
I cant see it being someone buying the club....If I had a few billion in the bank and I wanted a toy set to play with, I would buy Villa, Huge city and fan base, own the ground (albeit old) and a lot more history. The old fart will be passing it to Ehab, cant see it being anything else.
Dave, we've already got exactly this thread. There are only a handful of people on here who want Allam out, the vast majority are more than happy for him to stay, just as long as forgets the name change bollocks.
I'd like to hand the credit to Leicesters Thai's, Blockhead himself and Nick Barmby. If it wasn't for the Thais approaching blockhead, blockhead would never have left. If blockhead never left, Barmby would never have been appointed. If Barmby didn't get appointed, he couldn't have been a **** and talked **** about Allam mind got sacked. If he didn't do that, Cushionface would never have been appointed. If Cushionface was never appointed, we'd still be watching Blockheads dire 10-2 formation teams get out scored 1-0 most games and talentless turds running around pointing for 90 minutes.
