Am I the only one thinking its a BIG risk Rangers are taking putting in a £1M plus bid for this guy? What happens if he gets done for his rape case? Will the deal be dependant on him being acquitted?
It's a risk no doubt. I read somewhere that the offer is £1m+ and there would be conditions attached, perhaps something to do with if, he gets jailed, he goes back to DU and they pay back the money?
If he's to find out next week what's going to happen to him will Dundee united want to sell him before that? Or will they hold on and possibly have to pay his wages whilst he's in prison? I heard that Goodwillie is to force through a move by asking Dundee United to green light it.
That aint gonnan fly. If you're convicted of a serious criminal offence, your employer can - and most likely will - drop you. If you're jailed it's a no brainer. Steven Thomson is a prize cnut. But even he wouldnt keep paying GW's wages whilst he was in jail just so he could sell him on after his release. The guy, the club would be a pariah. As a Rangers fan I would NOT want a convicted rapist playing for my team.
I thought that the charges were already dropped? If its only around the £1m mark I dont think you guys are gonna get him.
