Saucer of beer. Slugs still end up dead but have a brill last night. Everyone is happy and no one need feel guilty.
I thought you were supposed to chuck sea salt over em or something like that? Maybe basil and cracked pepper??
Like you HT all the six little dogs I've had have been rescue dogs...three Corgis, two Westies, and a Maltie....some abused, some abandoned or unwanted. One lived to be 18, most died at 12-14. My heart breaks when they die as they are my little children and are with us for such a relatively short period of time. i have six grown children but my little dogs give me such wonderful companionship and undemanding love that they are like my own children. I only have one little dog left with me now and he is 14 so will not be with me much longer. I don't think I will get another one as I'm already old and don't want to leave him/her behind.
I'm no bleeding heart liberal but anybody who deliberately harms any animal for fun or though neglect should be dismembered with a blunt axe Absolute scum imo
You bastard. I killed a bat this week, it had been in the house over 24 hours(it hid during the day and though I had it trapped at one end of the house, I couldn't find the bloody thing), I tried to catch it first, but it was a demented, swooping mass of flapping and after an hour of chasing it around, I gave up and twatted it with a towel. RIP
Only rescue cats for us CT. We have had over 20 since we came to Aus in 1968. Had a spell of about 3 years cat-less from 2009-2012 then took in another 2 from the local RSPCA animal shelter. Earlier this year the closure of this shelter by the end of the year was announced. A massive public backlash ensued,a campaign to reverse the decision was mounted and last week the closure decision was shelved.
Hessle dog rescue came to my house once to assess us for a dog. They turned us down and said the house wasn't suitable for an animal!!!! And left me and the kids in it!! Kinell
One of my cats killed a bat the other week. I don't know which one it was or how it managed it but there was half a bat on the stairs in the morning. I abandoned my cat by the way, once it came of age I took it out into the garden and told it some wise words and to choose it's own path. "Let destiny be kind to you, my young feline friend" I told it with tear filled eyes. Thirty minutes later I heard the cat flat open. I also enjoy pest control. Pigeons are vermin and will be annihilated whenever possible. If there's one in the road I'll speed up and swerve, if I'm out with my air rifle it will be my target. Rats too. If I was out having an air rifle day I'd shoot most birds I came across and any rats or rabbits etc. but that would be about the extent of it. Once I get my firearms licence and I've got more firepower I'd love to shoot deer and stuff.
I'm not sure why, as far as I can see, there's thousands of the bastards. I live opposite a church and on a night they all swarm out, it sometimes looks like a scene from The Birds(but with bats, obviously). Sometimes, they turn into a man in a black cape and rides off in a horse drawn carriage, though that only seems to happen when I'm asleep.
