A let down yet again. His career as stalled without doubt. Wouldn't be surprised if he spent much of this season warming the Arsenal bench because he just doesn't show the same level of quality as the big players in their midfield.
Truthfully, nor do I. He called for a through ball about 10 minutes ago, got it back and promptly blew the chance. If he was ever world class, and that was dubious, though he was admitttedly close at peak form, he doesn't show it these days, even at club level. At international level, you can forget it, it's hardly ever been there. If ever there was a player who has been blighted by how good he was always going to be.
Paul Scholes was absolutely smack on the money in his criticism. Then again, perhaps Wilshere was never going to be that good. The next one not to fulfill his potetntial will be Ross Barkley, I no doubt. Sterling, on the other hand, is undeniably shaping up quite well.
I think he flatters to deceive. He is obviously very skilful but at this level it never seems to produce anything.
Then again, 5 years from now, who knows? He could be ****. I don't think anyone's been that bad. Giving away posession in general hasn't been a problem, we must have had at lest 60 per cent. We haven't capitslised on it though, and for this you can't blame Wilshire, Sterling or even Delph.
Just a point of information...would battering Adrian Chiles to death with a baseball bat be technically murder?
Fair point from Dixon... Wilshire is out of position and doesn't know what to do as a holding midfielder.
