..... and Newcastle are already getting nervous.

"Newcastle MP Chi Onwurah raised concerns about the timing of the game which comes hours after notorious Black Eye Friday."

    http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/tyne-wear-derby-safety-concerns-raised-7719505

Dunno which is worse, Newcastle's MP happily chirping on about 'black eye Friday' or the photo of Michael Owen posting ****e on the internet.

Doesn't he think that blithely using the term 'Black Eye Friday' might 'give permission' to the idiots.

The MP also clumsily uses the death of the two Newcastle lads to appeal for calm which is crass imo.

The council & police claim they are at the mercy of Sky in relation to the kick off time which is pitiful.

I believe that already whipping things up, months in advance, is counter productive and typical of the attitude that prevails in Newcastle.

With the local MP, Northumbria Police & the council already flapping their gums it seems they're little better than the idiots.

Serious question here. Us and the mags released a joint statement that they would no longer bow to the demands from Northumbria Police. So if the game was moved to a 4pm Sunday KO for example could they refuse to police the match??

    Chi who?
    Is he a Pakistani feller?
Last time I was in Pisscastle couldn't find a white taxi driver anywhere.
I'd have had more luck finding one in Karachi.

I get where this MP is coming from, potentially 1000s of innocent shoppers caught in the cross wind of angry petulant mags who want to trash their own town. what happened in 2013 combined with one of the busiest shopping days on the calender means a Sunderland win has disaster written all over it.

If the police did their job ethically then they wouldn't be in this situation, they'd have a bit of leeway with the the clubs to do something about this. I have to say all these problems emanate from the city of Newcastle, no one to blame on Wearside. All we've ever done is humiliate them twice in a row in their own back yard. Sore losers.

"Do They Know It's Derby day?"

    [Chris Martin:]
It's Derby day there's no need to be afraid
At Derby day, we'll score three and stuff the ****s

    [Dido:]
And in our world of three-zero we can spread a smile of joy
Throw your arms around the nag on deby day.

    [Robbie Williams:]
But say a prayer, Pray for big fat mike
On derby day it's hard, but when you're having fun

    [Sugababes:]
There's a phone box outside your window
And you want to smash it up

    [Fran Healy:]
Where your mother is your sister

    [Fran Healy & Sugarbabes:]
It'll end in sting of tears

    [Fran Healy & Justin Hawkins:]
And the Derby day bells that ring there are the bringing the daft toon doon

    [Bono:]
Well tonight it's big fat mike, and pardew

    [Will Young & Jamelia:]
And the mags will never show, this derby day
The greatest gift they'll get this year is life

    [Ms Dynamite & Beverly Knight:]
    Where only their bellies grows
And the mags are feeling low

[Group of ten and Joss Stone:]
Do they know it's Derby day again?

    [Tom Chaplin (Keane):]
    Here's to you

    [Justin Hawkins (Darkness):]
Raise a glass to big fat mike

    [Dizzee Rascal:]
Spare a thought this derby day for the deprived
    No phone boxes will survive

    [Busted:]
    Here's to them

    [Justin Hawkins (Darkness):]
    Underneath that scummy shirt

    [Dizzee Rascal:]
You ain't gotta feel guilt you smelly ****
Give a little help to the pardew the ****

    [Joss Stone & Justin Hawkins:]
Do they know it's Derby day at all?

    [Tom Chaplin:]
    Feed them greggs

    [Tom Chaplin & Chris Martin:]
    Feed them greggs

[Tom Chaplin & Chris Martin & Sugababes:]
    Feed them greggs

[Tom Chaplin & Chris Martin & Sugababes:]
    Feed them greggs

    [Everyone in full chorus line.]
    Feed them greggs
Let them know it's Derby day again - [repeated]

    [Group of ten:]
    **** the mags

    [Everyone in full chorus line.]
**** the mags - [repeated to end]

Nice one Comm. Any chance you can sing and record that and then post it on here? So we can have a proper sing-a-long
