I actually went to the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley. Had a brilliant day out! Even before we got into the stadium there were one or two Freddie Mecury impersonators getting the crowd revved up!! Brings back happy memories........... took a new girlfriend on what was almost a first date - she was suitably impressed!! I knew how to woo the girls back in the day, mind my Mrs would disagree now lol
That dancer is Jeffrey Daniel originally from Soul Train - that jiggerboo sure can dance I remember another time he was on TOTP's dancing with an umbrella - that weekend we were all in the Dun Cow, and some geezer copied him with the brolly but poked one of my mates in the back with it - needless to say, the brolly and its owner didn't make it out in one piece
haha - just found it!!!
My Stepdad (god rest his soul) built the guitar amps for Queen, the Kinks, and the Who to name a few. I also met Robert Plant and Jimmy Page backstage at a gig using his amps in Birmingham. A little known act called Texas opened that day
As the tread began about Freddie mercury, thought I'd mention I bought the live at the rainbow 74 video last night. This has been digitally recreated and for any queen fans is a real masterpiece. Well wort the ten euros
