I've been sucked into enough dull, protracted discussions to know that some people are just happy with any reply at all, even if it's to point out they're an idiot, I also try not to take posts on message boards too seriously. What I have noticed is some people latching onto posts by people they feel are wummers in order to argue that they are just a wummer! Surely the correct response is no response, thus starving them of the attention you think they seek?
I don't quite understand this thread? Are you saying people should reply to posts and not usernames? Because if so I agree entirely. However, if you're saying people should ignore people they don't agree with then that's a bit daft.
I wasn't saying either really, I was more saying that the best way to upset an attention seeker is to ignore them instead of getting drawn in to their argument. But I totally agree that people should respond to the point not the poster.
A suggestion that sensible has absolutely no chance of being adopted. I often find myself typing responses to idiots, on threads I know I should just avoid, in the full knowledge that I shouldn't be posting and I just continue regardless. I think I now know what a Heroin addict feels like. Particularly as I'm a heroin addict.

I have read all posts on this thread, they have upset me, I don't agree with any of them, most are idiotic, or true. some are rubbish or profound and some just rumours I am never going to respond to them, so don't argue with me. Have said all that they are enjoyable.
As an attempt to close this thread; There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns, etc..............
I think it's great that 3 of the posts so far have been by a user saying they only come on the site to WUM, as they prefer their chums from an older City forum. In simple terms; what a ******.
