Old Malc had little to do with the club after he had a stroke in 2006. It's his kids who've been running us since, so I don't think his death had anything to do with it.

If anything, that may make it harder for us to spend in future, as apparently only some of his kids are keen to keep hold of Utd and some of them just want to sell it and take their money. Whether that turns out to be good for the club or not, we will just have to wait and see.

I haven't posted on here on a regular basis for a long time but just had to leave a comment on this topic.Having watched United under 8 or 9 previous managers, Sir Alex was a breath of fresh air and will never be replaced. United have now moved on to a new era and our fans just have to accept that fact. Will we be successful in the future, only time will tell but once United is in your blood, it's hard not to continue to support them through bad times as well as good. I have seen some really poor United teams over the past 50 + years and the last three seasons of Fergie's reign were up there with the worst YET he won the title twice with that team, which just sums up the influence he had on everyone around him. Major surgery was required with the team and is now taking place but you can't expect Sir Alex to come out and say he is not surprised and it is just what is needed ! I also think that had he been in charge last season, those same players that were so poor under Moyes, would have been challenging for, if not winning the title again. So embrace what we have got now, get behind the team and the manager, nothing will be the same again but this is still UNITED !

I think the idea wenger won't spend is out dated. We made the largest transfer last season and other than utd made the largest transfer this season.

Prepare for years of hatred from liverpool, chelsea, city amd spurs fans. An hilarious combination of hypocrisy and delusion from those clubs and fans.

They genuinely believe that united are wrong to spend money. Acting as if we have insulted their collective mothers. They will make similar claims about arsenal in time.

Fear not though. Its easy to put them down. Just use a combination of words and sounds. Doesnt matter which words, you will easily out fox them.

The worst by far are the YSB's. They just can't accept that we not only caught them up, but overtook them. Whoever we buy, then we have iether overpiad for the player, or he is only there for the money.

Yet how much did they blow on Caroll? Was sewer rat the most loyal player? Yea, right, if that's a show of loyalty I would hate to sign a player of similar attitude. Now the latest is that selling Wellbeck is selling our tradition.

The club's moved on with LVG, all United fans can live with it, so all the other ABU's can scream as much as they want. as the song goes

"We're Man United, we do what we want"
