Absolutely buzzing with what's happening at our club at the moment. Like many never thought we would be in this position. However I do worry about losing our leader, his stock is rising dramatically, and with Pardew being a dead man walking an offer to good to refuse could be heading his way. This would be disastrous as the man is just perfect for us, right to be concerned?
No. Bruce runs the football side of this club, he's got free rein. He knows whats going on at Newcastle, he wouldnt touch it with a barge pole.
Cant see him leaving in the middle of the season, not with the team he has put together. After the season is over perhaps but certainly not right now.
I really don't think it's that significant. Most managers have free reign at their clubs. It should be a minimum requirement for a manager, not something to get excited about. Newcastle aren't well-run but they've just off-loaded one of their best players to us because Pardew fell out with him, so he obviously has a degree of control. The problems there are in the boardroom at Newcastle are similar to here. Bruce being a Newcastle fan and them being a bigger club than us would make more difference to him, I reckon, than anything else.
Newcastle is a poisoned chalice at the moment. I'd be surprised if any credible manager would want the job. It would tarnish their reputation beyond repair.
So you think he'll stay here just for our wonderful owners, who are a laughing stock outside of Hull. I think he'll be more interested in other factors and that means I'm blinkered and/or Allam obsessed? I think it's a bit desperate if you're claiming as fact that there's no chance the manager would leave us for a bigger club, just because the Allams are that brilliant to work for.
Work for Allam who lets you get on with it but is a bit nuts. He will however back you to the hilt. Work for Ashley who is an interfering ****er and is a lot of a ****. He will sell his own mother for a profit. Let me think.
The man is a millionaire it depends how happy he is, is liking of the area, the owners he works for, his families happiness but at the same time how ambitious he is?
Serious question, I don't know the answer, why is Ashley seen as an interfering type? What's he done? I know there's been stuff about Abramovic insisting on certain playing being signed and played at Chelsea in the past, but unless I've forgotten it I don't recall anything about Ashley doing anything similar?
With all there French Players im sure they would get a top French coach, Saint Etienne's Christophe Galtier would be perfect for them
i've never understood the newcastle ashley hate is it because he doesn't pay for the players for newcastle to succeed at a trophy level? that's all i see them complaining about, when really, they haven't won a trophy for almost as long as england i guess the 90s overheightened their expectations
Laughing stock out side of Hull? Really? 90%+ of other clubs fans are green with envy, and gobsmacked, about what our club with the Allams as owners have achieved and are continuing to achieve.
You brought the Allams into it, and I actually sidestepped it. Don't know what more can be done to debate with you. Read the posts:
I can see him moving for.. obviously the 'big' clubs (You know) Everton Newcastle if they sort their s**t maybe west ham absolutely no reason i can think of him going anywhere else. He's never going to get a big club job and everton aren't getting rid of martinez anytime soon, so i reckon newcastle are actually our biggest threat. But its so mental there at the moment that I reckon we're together for the long-haul. With all the sackings and stuff, anyone know where he is on the 'longest serving club managers' list currently (doesn't matter, he's joint 5th)... Meant in the prem
I have extended family in Newcastle and as far as I understand it Pardew is the puppet of Ashley and Ashley DOES have a say on matchdays. Like I say the size of the club isn't the issue the owner is and like I said Allam maybe a bit nuts but he doesn't get involved and backs his man.
