It was, not is. The vast majority of our defensive issues last year came from the wings and we've addressed that this season (signing Moreno and Maquillo) and look a lot better. But we were crap defensively last season, despite our awesome offense. I think that was kind of Gerrez's point, Shteve. Perhaps an apt comparison. No?

Moreno looks good going forward but suspect defensively (so far). Mantequilla is an Atletico reserve player! Same issues as last season. Rodgers seems unwavering in his approach to the game. Sometimes a bit of defending can get you those extra, crucial points!
