Their site has pics of Livermore, Elmo, Huddlestone etc and they are proud to be our sponsors but on the main sports book site an announcement. "Due to a business decision 12BET is no longer able to accept sports bets from players located in United Kingdom effective 30 September, 2014." So... why sponsor a PL team?!! Or are we that big in Asia on the telly?
As far as I understand it, no player is now allowed to bet on any football match. This follows recent allegations of match fixing including some instances of this kind of thing happening in the lower leagues.
Good point but I think by 'players' they mean all of us, not footballers or they would have said footballers. Other sites use the same terminology.
Interesting that, I had a look myself and its not clear at all. Not the best photo they are using, Elmo looks a bit thin on top and Hudds a bit gormless
The definitely mean sports players. Its the new ruling. On another point, that picture of us looks cool as ****
I read somewhere that it is now illegal for anyone involved in professional football to have a bet on any professional game. So it's against the law for a steward who works at the KC to have a bet.
It's because UK players now have to use the euro site for 12bet http://eu.12bet.co.uk/EuroSite/Euro_Index.aspx?20110303
I do not believe the wording relates to football players, as all they would do is ask family/friends to bet for them. These sites do not call users gamblers, it calls them players. The reason for the change to the international site is the creation of the new European site I can see no mention of players not being able to use the site on the Euro version, and while football players cannot bet on football matches they can bet on other sports & areas of the site like casino, but nobody from the UK can do that on the international 12Bet site
I'm confused as to why they've said anything at all, the web domain simply redirects to the new site address anyway.
by "player" I meant player of the site .. I know what you mean about the football players but that message was simply redirecting UK "players" of the site to the EU site ... yes PLT you were right all in all
