If we ever do manage to expand the ground, we can also expand this brilliant stuff... I've heard this argument before , that is not all our games sell out therefore there is no need for an expansion. ( I'm not saying you're putting this forward) but it's a spurious one. Firstly though we didn't sell out very game last season there were a good number of sell outs where're we could have sold well over 35,000 tickets Secondly in its final year Boothferry park only held 13,500 we didn't sell out any games except the last one and the play off semi final against orient yet when we moved to the KC our first game attracted 22,000 and we went on to a average more than the previous capacity of BP. Therefore if we had a bigger stadium we could extend the fan base by making it more possible to attend games than at present, how many of the new fans we attracted to the KC became regulars ? A good percentage City have the potential to attract gates of at least 35,000 in my opinion maybe more for the big games, this puts us in an entirely different league to the Wigans, Blackburns and Burnleys of this world. I know that out attendances declined dramatically in the late 70s and hit rock bottom in the 90s but we are a completely different club these days more akin to what many believed we would become in the mid 60s. Of course there are other factors such as ticket price but I always felt 25,000 was far too small for a successful City , though I never envisaged we'd be as successful as we now could be. Any expansion would take at least a year to complete so requires a long term plan, if AA is planning on selling up and the complexion of the council may change it may prove impossible for the two to agree even if wanted to. However despite what AA has apparently said when it comes to money or making it never say never !
Would this be the same person who told you we were up for sale straight after the Allams sacked Barmby?? If so bollocks.
Yet throughout last season you and ctwd were telling everyone he's absolutely ****ed the club, and him,we're a hundred million in debt and he wont get a penny of his money back. hmmm interesting.
What I said was that we'd be ****ed if we were relegated and we are £100m in debt(or something approaching that), I'm not sure CTWD have ever commented on our finances.
Or straight from the horses mouth you said Ehab Allam has zero interest in City doesnt want to be involved, early last season. And then he.........
Ehab took over the day to day running of the club earlier this year and is now there most days, you think circumstances don't change?
Yes, yes i do do you. You used to post he's ****ing clueless and doesnt know how to run a football club. Now you can see he's ****ing brilliant at running a football club, glad you've changed your opinion.
A while ago, someone - and it wasn't Lambo - said of Ehab: "He's just a playboy, pissing about and more interested in cars and women". (Or something similar. Seems like EA has changed.....)
You'd change and show more interest if it reached the point where most of your inheritance was tied up in something.
Success brings interest and interest demands focus, so the Allam family focused and the responsibility fell to Ehab; I see nothing confusing or strange about that. As has been said, circumstances change. The owners have painted themselves into a corner by employing a manager who exceeded expectation. I am uncertain, but I believe that manager is not signed to a new contract. I believe there is a close bond of trust between owners and manager. The idea that the club might be sold soon should not shock anyone, as Allem has always said he would leave if he was denied the name-change. Expansion will never take place under the current owners.
Not recently, he used to not be interested, but now he is. A couple of months ago, someone at the club described him as having 'got the bug', after taking over Nick Thompson's duties.
This is an interesting POV: Dr Allam – Winning back Hull fans or just righting the wrongs? http://efootballnet.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/dr-allam-winning-back-hull-fans-or-just.html
Well, that didn't take long, things are going tits up already, the owner of the site now wants to develop it himself... http://www.kilburntimes.co.uk/qpr/cargiant_boss_rules_out_a_new_qpr_stadium_by_2018_1_3756333
