Newcastle's Jack Colback has missed out on the chance to make his England debut on Wednesday against Norway after failing to recover from an injury. The midfielder, 24, picked up the knock playing for Newcastle against Crystal Palace, although he is hoping to take part in training on Thursday. England coach Roy Hodgson added that none of the other uncapped players - Calum Chambers, Danny Rose and Fabian Delph - will start at Wembley. "I've let the players know," he said. After playing the Scandinavian team, England will begin their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign in Switzerland on Monday, 8 September. More to follow. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28947896
Yes get in it means cattermole will have something to aim for and i mean his injury, not getting in the England squad
His inclusion can only be credited to his Sunderland perfomances of last season....his two perfomances for Newcastle have been mediocre at best......his first seeing him playing with less attacking freedom than he was allowed at the SoL.....Pardew will undoubtedly spoil and limit his attacking creativity.
The fact that he's injured makes a mockery of the fact that he's in the squad. Newcastle were asked and said he'd be fur and he isn't. If there was any risk them why was he picked?
Someones kicked Colback in the back of the calf and he's been sent back to Newvastle No England debut for him! Wonder if this kicks off another meltdown of Newcastle fans
Yeah. Speaking of meltdowns... I don't see any 8 page 150 reply threads about Ginger Pirlos England adventures on our board. Strange that.
Welcome to the FORUM where you can comment, create and debate whatever you want. It's a free forum where the mods (on the Sunderland side anyhow) are not heavy handed and people are entitled to opinions. Didn't realise we had to limit ourselves to what we spoke about because of you!
rightly so. We're relegation fodder this season. selling YMB and HBA shows just how ****ing stupid our management is
Stop being so boringly realistic and sensible man - be like travelsick and full of ****!! I'd have loved HBA here mind. Although Poyet may be thinking about trying to persuade him next summer when his contract runs out!
I thought Yanga-Mmmbop was a flop. And Ben Arfa is trouble. Letting them leave wasn't the problem, not replacing them was.
I see quite few links in my sig that redirect you to some real arse biting obsession from your board. Threads that eclipse this. Strange that.
YMB was captain of montpellier and has now gone to a champs league team Pardew played him out of position constantly, never gave him a proper run but then again, this is the man who played Mullins ahead of Mascherano he *kills* flair players off as for HBA, what he needs is management, undeniable talent but 'Headbutt / You ****ing old **** / Blame the fans"" Pardew simply doesnt have the man-management or inter-personal skills to deal with anyone with a difficult personality. i expect he'll flourish at Hull i also expect Sunderland will finish above NUFC this season.
You're far too sensible. I wouldn't have tempted fate with your last sentance. You haven't got a bad squad and they've done you ok last season despite Pardew. On thing is certain though mate. With the right manager that squad of yours would be safe all day long. Pardew still got Colback as you main set piece taker like he did pre season? He wasn't even in our top three set piece takers.
He a CB? Flair? Come on. A captain at club in a weak as piss French league. Ben Arfa has caused disruption everywhere. To solely blame Pardew is just a manifestation of dilike of your manager.
