Can anyone remember the Persil train ticket promotion of the 80s plenty of lads took advantage of that offer up and down the country.
Feel your pain. It's even more insulting when those picked up have reserved seats. **** them! They should get whatever seats are left.
I'm pleased that you posted this, because I'm now prepared for if I ever travel on Tiger Travel, because if they ever ask me to move so two latecomers can sit together they'll be told in no uncertain terms to do one. ****s.
In the late 70's, before there were any drink bans, it used to get really messy on the coaches. I remember drinking a really cheap Whisky called Clan Dew, it was blended with something(probably petrol), I just googled it to see if it's still going and a site popped up called 'Tramps Drinks Revisited'.
Anyone remember when coming back from games in Lancs stopping at Hartshead services, crossing the motorway to the west bound side services and going drinking in a village pub behind.
The official away match travel people. They have many powers and use them well. No alcohol on coaches for starters. Lol.
In fact, that's the only rule they don't enforce!!! They're like "can I see in your bags for alcohol?". *unzip bag* "Yeah that's fine". They just look at whatever is on top of your bag and you could have anything underneath. I showed her my jacket that was in my bag and she moved me on without searching anything underneath it. Well unless they're not allowed to actually put their hand in your bag.
Not sure anyone answered my question before - but is the £20 for West Brom/Newcastle games for adults and kids, or are kids reduced price?
£20 Tiger Travel? Or £20 for the match ticket? Match ticket for an adult at Newcastle is £27 (and £20 travel) I think. [£13 for kids for Newcastle] No idea for West Brom.
I am the mother you speak of.Really annoying that I was separated from my 10 year old son. There were seats together but had bags out across them so obviously was saved.Go to most away games and never had that problem before, would rather have travelled on the one which was near empty. My son has autism, he kept sitting on my knee for cuddles and a bit of reassurance. Not that I need to tell you that, just sometimes people look at us funny with this tall lad on his mums knee hehe.Hubby usually goes but is in the armed forces and away so will be me all season. It won't be happening again, I can guarentee that. Glad you brought this up as I was thinking of emailing the ticket office about the situation.I am down as a carer and didn't/couldn't get to sit next to the person I care for.I don't want preferential treatment by any means,my first time on coach one.Hopefully the last..thanks again for bringing this up.
For two people I'm on about mate, I was wondering if kids get reduced rate (not for me, the Mrs' sister has decided she's a City fan now and at 10 - can go to her first away game).
