This thread has turned into quite a good Newcastle / Sunderland general debate.

Well Sessegnon, Malbranque, Gyan, Larsson, and the new wayne rooney(Connor whickam) would have no bother, and roll on the first derby game and this time we will do you.

because its on your board, lets be honest if it was on ours it would have been.

    "you always talk about us"
    "you love us really"
    "5-1"

    Sessegnon v Ben Arfa

Ben Arfa played 3 games (I think...) scored a screamer and looked like a very good player before breaking his leg. Sessegnon took a little while to settle in and get properly fit but was absolutely outstanding in the last 6/7 games or so and got 3 goals to his name as well. You might not hear about him in the press quite as much but Sess is a real talent. Would walk into the Newcastle side ahead of that ponytailed Argentinian fella!

As for the rest of the team, there'll always be bias for our own clubs. I'd say Gyan, Bardsley, Malbranque, Bramble, Sess + more would all get into a North East XI but i'm sure mags would disagree with that...

There's a reason we let Bramble go. And Bardsley is not better than Enrique considering he played most of last season at LB.

    I love these guys <laugh>

I'll give you Sessegnon and Gyan but we're discussing summer signings anyway.

Larsson is not better than Barton, sorry but Barton can cross and put a dead ball in as well and is better is nearly every other way. So Larsson would not get near the starting XI.

In our formation, (one up top,) Wickham who is not even a regular scorer in the Championship, doesnt get in ahead of Ba who is proven in the Prem.

Wickham is nothing like Rooney either.

I don't think Bramble is as awful as people say but I would play Colo, Taylor, Williamson, Kadar and Shola ahead of him in the CB position.
