Chaps and Chapesses - if you're on Twitter - could you do me a BIG favour and tweet this link - Fable is at number 26 in the Hype Machine charts for 'most popular on twitter' - If you can say something like "give this track a heart on @hypem - http://hypem.com/track/264qg/Fable+-+Stranger+In+My+Head" then I will be forced to love you forever.
I would if I was on Twitter. Listened to Stranger In My Head, sort of off the cuff, and it sounded really impressive again. Of course it has the influences I mentioned before, but it sounds lke a mature piece of writing. I'll look forward to more. Think I'll email my niece in Brighton to look out for Fable. Mind you, she probably knows her well already. She seems to know everything that is going on in Brighton. Except for the football stuff.
I missed this. What a nice little moment for the kid:
She was on the front cover of one of the local mags a couple of months back, but to be honest you don't break a new act in Brighton. She's only played one gig to date, and that was here, but it won't be an area we concentrate on. It's a great place music-wise at the moment - Royal Blood who have just raced to number one in the album charts with their debut are from here, and there's quite a few acts that are on the cusp of something very interesting that are coming out of the city too (keep an eye out for Oslo Parks), but you'll not find too many of them actually being broken here (if any). London still reigns for that.
Fun facts: If you eat a slice of Polar Bear liver, it will probably kill you. In medieval times, "a moment" was a measured amount of time - 1 1/2 minutes.
Congratulations! I slithered my way into Uni with lower than average grades, but getting in is all that matters. Fresh start from then on! Sounds like you've got a good deal there. Will do it now. I liked 'Stranger in my head' when I first gave it a listen. You said it was a grower, so I've listened to it 8 or 9 times and now I really like it
Oh and LTL. I assume you've seen all the related write ups or whatever you call them about 'Stranger in my head', but just bumped into this one. Did you write it? http://kickkicksnare.com/2014/08/30/fable-stranger-head/
I would imagine eating a slice of Polar Bear's liver would piss him off, so not surprised it would kill you.
Ha! Yes, of course. There's quite a lot coming in, and particularly pleased with the one in Q. Yes, the KKS one is nice too - and they're a well respected blog (no, not me writing it!!!)
Glad you're enjoying it. The really big risk is the next one - it's 9 minutes long so it really could go either way as people just aren't used to 9 minute tracks these days! But it's one hell of a song...
