I'm glad it's only a loan. But we're not allowed to be disappointed about it, because "It's Ramirez, FFS."
I'm amazed at the disappointment on Ramirez. Pleased but amazed. I wonder where all these people were when gaston was getting battered week in week out on here? It felt like just a couple of us sticking up for him. I am sad because I've been such a big supporter of his talent. I am not disappointed from the team perspective because I think he'd struggle for game time with Koeman's style. The times Adkins or MP played him wide, it didn't really work and his best position by a country mile is in the hole with a Free role; that isn't available this season. Good luck Gaston; come back a more consistent performer please.
I just don't think that he is cut out for the speed and physicality of English football. there's no denying that he has talent but he just never had enough time on the ball to use it very often. If Ron feels that he is surplus to requirements this season then I'm happy with that call.
Are you actually posting that seriously? If you feel like you're not allowed an opinion because someone disagrees with it, or tells you you shouldn't have that opinion, then you need to take a long, hard look in the mirror, and grow a spine.
Makes sense to me. If Mane is coming in then he is squeezed out. Both Saints and Ramirez need him to be playing first team football every week so this is a win-win.
I thought we'd keep him if only for the squad depth. I also had a feeling he might be more suited to Koeman's style of play. But it's no great loss. Good luck Gaston.
