It's a loan, but he's in his last year, so if we give him a deal for next season we get him for nothing.
He has 1 year left so in real terms it the same bloody thing. He will either stay at season end or bugger off elsewhere. Either way Newcastle will get naff all unless we have paid a small loan fee.

If he's only got 1 year left a Newcastle, and we sign him on a season long loan, he can sign for us for free as mentioned above.... this seems like a really poor piece of business from Newcastle's point of view.. Is it possible that its not a loan deal and we're about to sign him permanently? Or pay Newcastle a loan fee and agree in principle to sign him permanently in January?
