I understand it in a sense, but if he really has no future here (surely if he didn't fit RK's system he would of known pretty quickly?) could we not have sold him rather than loaning? And like I said above I just feel he can bring something that we lack a bit, but as LTL said let's see what Mane brings Also, not really upset, bit of a shame but hardly going to lose sleep over it.
Does it really matter for us? He hasn't worked out so far, doesn't look to fit Koeman's style and is on big wages.
Roger Clarke at Staplewood for Sky says Saints have confirmed the Gastón move to him. Saints are denying it, via Simon Peach.
I just think it is strange that people say the signings we are making are great for depth, but mostly it has been one in one out, leaving us in a similar situation depth wise as last season
I'm with you, believe me. It is a shame and there has not been a bigger defender of him than me on this forum. I just totally understand why we've done it. He is young and his value has fallen; if he has a good season, he either comes back better or we have an increased value of an asset.
I thought this torturing of fans was supposed to finish when Nicola left....a whole day to do the business, now 1 hr to go.
Gastón likely to go to Hull. Told Koeman he needs game time. Saints have refused to insert a buy-out clause for Hull, though.
