I generally agree with you I just feel that this was a big season for him, looked good just before his injury last under a manager who clearly didn't rate him. I just think he has something that we don't really have a lot of in the squad and if we feel it is never gonna work here then I don't see why a loan is an our interests.
I suppose we can say that gaston has had a lot of time and keeps getting injured...perhaps he isn't up to the physical side. In which case, Hull is hardly ideal. I thought he'd go abroad.
Abel Hernandez and Gaston played together at Peñarol in Uruguay. Both have also been on the international scene together for a while - could explain how the move has come about?!
Gaston's move may have been sparked by £10m Uruguayan Abel Hernandez signing for Hull, he will help him settle in perhaps?
Good post Archers. During the height of the stick he took on here I kept saying that in 5 years time he could be playing for a too European side. He still could be (but not hull, as that top team)
Hull attempting their own "Operation keep Gaston Ramirez happy" by also signing another Uruguayan player.
If Gaston goes on a loan it gives him the opportunity for a fresh start with a clean slate in the PL. That could be the making of him. By the end of the season he might well be worth double the money and gagging to get back to the South Coast. To be of any value to Saints or himself he needs to get regular 90 minutes playing time every Saturday in the PL.
We've spent most the summer asking how gaston would fit into Koeman's formation? Now he's off people are upset? I don't get that. If you've been around this forum for the last two seasons, you'll know how much I've stuck up for Gaston, however I totally understand this. I don't understand those who can't see it makes sense. Sad as it is.
There will be a huge adorable-shaped hole when Gaston leaves. We have sexy, we have cute, we have good looking...but only Gaston is adorable
I've always said this as well and still see it happening, no one cany deny the boy has class and I definitely see him in the CL sooner rather than later. I could be wrong of course, wouldn't be the first time (or last!)
if he had gone abroad i wouldn't have minded it so much, it's just the fact that he's going to hull that annoys me for some reason
Totally agree...it hasn't worked in the EPL, so I'd fully understand him going to wander about pitches in Italy or Spain, but thius makes no sense. Why has he even agreed?
