Davy Russell comes over to Huntingdon tomorrow for two rides. I can't remember a time when he has made the journey for a small meeting. singles and a double on: 2.50 Saddlers Deal 4.20 That's A Fact
Your backing Davy Bob thought you really despised him and his riding capabilities, maybe I've got my wires crossed but good luck anyway, hope they oblige for ya.
I don't rate him. What does that have to do with betting though? I'd be surprised if he has to be anything other than average tomorrow if these two have been laid out for a raid.
Despite the fact that she carries top weight I will be surprised if there is anything in the field that can go with WAR ALERT 11-4 Leicester 3:40 and I know how much this forum loves to cheer Frank home! Everything ridden by AP is shortening tomorrow! Punters doing multiples, fancies from the yards or bookies running scared?
Could be one of the most exciting 2 mile chasers this winter: http://www.sportinglife.com/racing/news/article/465/9449765/defy-logic-on-comeback-trail
Morning, troops. Must say, in my view, it’s not bad racing for a Monday. The rumour is that Mr Candy’s CAPE XENIA is well above average and has come on a lot for her debut run in the county. She should be hard to beat at Leicester (3.15). Whilst at Brighton that old rogue, Prescott, saddles WUNDERKIND (5.00) off the ridiculous looking perch of 46. He’s adopted his usual approach, with this one, of 3 ‘beaten out of sight’ runs in maidens. Today, on the old girls handicap bow expect a much different performance. Good luck all.
How do the Candys keep doing it?? Never much in vogue they've had good horses for the last 40+ years whilst seemingly remaining nice people. I remember Parbury (Gold Cup), Fair Winter (Nassau), Song (Champion Sprinter), High Line (a great stayer who if he hadn't been a naughty boy might have won the Leger), Kambalda (Ascot Stakes), Master Willie (Eclipse and CC), Time Charter (1000G, Champion,KG and CC), Kyllachy (Nunthorpe) and Airwave (Cheveley Park, very fast and unlucky to meet Choisir). Since seemingly losing the patronage of the Barnetts Henry still seems to be able to buy good horses cheaply. Derrick would be proud of him. Due another big horse I think.
I see old girl ATHENIAN won a Listed heat in Germany yesterday. First prize was less than £12k but it will have done her value as a broodmare no end of good. The syndicate, who are based in the county, will cash in by selling her later in the year and they can now be assured of a absolutely bumper payout when the old hammer comes down.
A very late lunch today consisting of Lentil Soup, mixed veg and a roll. I'll give it 6/10 for 2 reasons pertaining to the soup: (1) Very light on seasoning, needed lashings of tabasco to spice it up and (2) never fails to make me fart like a goat
This statement doesn't really make sense to me. If you don't rate the jockey, i,e you don't think he's a good jockey then why would it stand out to you that he was coming over for two rides. If he, in your own opinion, is not very good then it shouldn't matter where he is riding. Well done with the winners though pal, good spot
Shout Bob had noticed those 2 myself, as I can see Nenagh in the distance out of my front window, the barn have failed in 49 attempts to bag a winner here, but a near 24/1 double across the pond, the opposition must be slack over there? Used some of my Australia winnings to fund a small stakes Singles & Double
Top spot there Boston Bob, well done. Can't say I'm familiar with this Irish trainer P Coffey, but he sure knows to carry out a successful coup when he wants. Shrewd
