It's funny how every time Redders has stepped in and won a game as caretaker, there have been immediate calls to give him the job full time. Not for me though. You see, I believe that Redders is most valuable to our club as head of the Academy. When we see the likes of Lees, White, Poleon, Mowatt, Dawson, Byram, Cook etc coming through, its clear he needs to stay in his existing role. Getting your Academy right is a difficult task, and Redders seems to have helped rebuild our youth section back to where it was before. Leeds has a proud history of producing exceptional talent, and we are getting back to that.

It is important to understand that Redders has been involved with our youth setup for a while now, he understands how everything hangs together, he knows all the age group coaches. Working with his team, he is aware of talented kids right from U9s through to U18s. This means he puts plans in place to help bring them on. We heard about Cook, Walters and Dawson two years ago, so its no surprise to see them progressing nicely. There are a number of very talented youngsters in our Academy, and we will be seeing more come through in the next two years. Look out for the names of Stokes, Skelton, Parkin, Atkinson (Eng U16s), Purver, Bennett, Crouz, Mulhern .... the future is bright, the future is White.

For me it would be a sin to take Redders away from his excellent work with the Academy. His contribution has been invaluable, and we need to keep him delivering young talent for as long as we can. There is no point in promoting him only to see him leave the club in six or none months time, because he will, it's inevitable with Cellino. Our talent conveyor belt is nicely oiled now and running smoothly, best not to disrupt it.

    I completely agree with you

But also I don't think he will cut it at head coach level either

We were terrible the last time he stepped in, and why should we see him out of work when he doesn't deserve to be, because that's what'll happen. he will be sacked on a whim a few weeks from now and won't get his old job back, so no thanks I agree he should stay where he is

Can't see anyone disagree with this (I hope that includes Cellino, as Redders seems to be wavering now).

Give it to Redfearn, what will be will be. What we don't want is someone coming in and playing the likes of Tonge, Austin, Norris, White, Hunt and Morison just because they're 'experienced'

Redfearn could be like O'Leary was before it all went to his head, give the youth their chance, if they're good enough they're old enough

I agree. But if we have him the job I would love him to succeed.
