A draw against Hull would probably be optimistic if we lost at Southampton. Confidence would be completely shot again and we all know how good Pardew is at picking up a team who are down and turning around a bad run.

I would be more excited to hear pardews been sacked/killed/died/kidnapped/spontaneously combust then if we signed messi such a shame as were potentially not a bad team

We can blame Pardew but in reality he has a very average squad we need a brilliant manager BT who would come? It's the owner that's the main issue and don't allow his mate to take all the flack
you all assume our players are any better than average and its delusional

We got lucky 3 years ago signing Cabaye Ben arfa Santon and ba and had a miracle season.

I have no faith these signings will be anywhere near as fruitful and expect a struggle

I see Liverpool are really struggling integrating all the new faces.

    As are Chelsea too.
It's clearly a problem to integrate so many new faces.. :)

This has been a known problem for Colo. He isn't the bravest of defenders. He has done the same time and time and time and time again. But in the first place , not even putting a challenge.

The goals conceded were absolutely shocking on the part of the keeper and the defenders. Nothing to do with organisation for me (though we did look shaky all day). Colo on the 2nd goal was not even schoolboy! The one thing you are taught from a very young age is attack the ball, don't wait and see what happens. Particularly when in the air. If the ball is in the air that long it is criminal to stand and watch. The first goal they were half asleep, the last one just sheer panic.

The bottom line is the defenders are not that good at their primary role, defending! Whenever we play a more attacking style, their frailties are exposed. Again why have we not corrected this in this window? Why do we keep looking for short cuts by signing players like Haidara and Mbiwa. Quite simple for me, sign some defenders who will your attacking talent to play! No wonder Pardew is reluctant to expand our game, we are so limited in terms of talent defensively. To play Sissoko in there, you need proper defenders.

Thrown away 2 very valuable points.
