Speaking as an LFC fan Allen hasn't put a foot wrong since his inclusion in the team. He compliments the team and midfield very well but I would like to see him attempt more defence splitting passes as he's certainly got it in his locker. I think it will come in time, though.
Couple of things today. 1; Johnson didn't play and we didn't concede 2; Skrtel didn't play and we didn't concede. The back four today would be the one 4 I'd want us to play with for the rest of the season. Sakho and Lovern had a couple of shaky moments but by the 2nd half the seemed to have got on the same wavelength and we solid for the rest of the game. Moreno looks excellent and Manquillo could turn out to be a very good deal.
He doesn't do a lot wrong, but he doesn't do much in general. He is a good squad player and back up at best for me.

If you're going to criticise Allen for not adding much to our attack it seems a bit silly to offer Henderson as a comparison, fair enough on Lallana but let's be honest Henderson doesn't contribute an awful a lot to our attack - BUT, like Allen he compliments both the team and midfield nicely.
Hendo has 1 goal and 1 assist already and always goes on surging runs. Unlike crab Allen who just passes safely a few metres here and there. He's a waste of a position but, thankfully, doesn't get dispossessed that much
I'm not going to get drawn into another Allen discussion as I've posted on him plenty, but you must be watching a different team to the rest of us if you think Henderson offers little to our attack

Admittedly Henderson has been a lot better in an attacking sense this season. Did I dream up the run leading up to the penalty when he [Allen] darted to the barline?
I've not seen the game but decided to scan some comments on here to see how we played. Not sure what it would take for people to actually be happy. We won 3-0 at WHL FFS
Just a great performance, good to see us control a game from start to finish. Nothing negative to say, if we play like that we win.
When asked when did lfc lose it Rodgers said when Henderson got red card, "I couldn't replace him" Don't take our word for it take it from Allen's daddy
On the Allen debate, he was essential to our play in the first half but works so hard that I can't see him lasting in any 90mins. But if he can play like that and we can score we don't need him for 90 as we now have good replacements. An essential squad player for us now anyone knocking him after today needs an eye test.
It can often be better to bring on some extra muscle near the end any way. Even if he can play 90 minutes.
