Now what I don't understand is fans crucifying this guy after just 3 games. And under a manager like Pardew.

I think people should stop being ****s.

He's created almost all of our best chances so far, and he got an assist today. He's lightweight, yes, but I really don't think it's fair to put the spotlight on him personally during the **** storm that's being happening recently.

Poor defending cost us a result today. Poor finishing cost us vs Villa. He's created a lot of our best chances.

Give him time, like we did with Coloccini, Debuchy etc. He will come good, but needs to bulk up a bit and get up to speed with a new league. Having fans getting on his back after only 3 games will do **** all for the good of the club.

Nor is Hatem, but lets not go off on a tangent. But this bulk up stuff is bollocks IMO he's a footballer not a wrestler

I think generally we're guilty of over-hyping and raising our expectations over players we have virtually no real knowledge of.

The reality is we shop almost exclusively within a league which in fairness, will never be be described as amongst Europe's best, amongst a pool of players the better teams clearly don't want.
Sadly I'm immediately skeptical about how "great" they are by virtue of the fact we manage to sign them without much competition and for our bargain prices.

We take punts on guys who might come good in the PL, at prices/wages that aren't terminal if they flop. Chances are you'll flog back to France losing a couple million tops, or double your money if they do ok.

Truth is, very few of us know these signings but we just assume they are world-beaters from a few YouTube glimpses. I'm sorry but end of the day, they won't be world-beaters as they've signed for Newcastle!

We simply don't do desirable, PROVEN Premier League players unless we swipe them for nowt, it's another of Mr. Ashley's gambles. All about about business and nothing remotely to with football ambition, old news.

I'm not hammering the lad Cabella or any of our newbies for that, it's three games in, we'll give them fair chance to come good because we've little choice!
But they're on a hiding to nothing if we expect them to set the world on fire as I'm starting to think our recent recruitment has been very hit and miss – increasingly lopsided towards the latter.

At a risk of going off on a tangent, yes he is. Thrown out of 3 clubs now.

He ain't no wrestler but having some bulk will help given the strength in the premier league. Have heard that guys in this league are built like cruiserweights, even the normal sized players. It will surely take time for a little tricky winger like Cabella to adjust, and 3 games aint enough.

Hatem at the game again today. Willing to humiliate himself playing with kids. Doesn't have to. He loves the city/club. The problem is Pardew

No, the Problem is Hatem breaking club rules and seemingly showing no remorse/regrets for doing so.

If he loved the city/club and playing for us that much he could do a lot more than that!

Trouble is, it's beyond these incredibly wealthy, immature lads to put fragile egos to one side long enough to suck it up, say or do whatever it takes to keep the manager sweet.

I'm sure he thinks Pardew is the biggest tool on god's earth and frankly, he's not far off the mark.
But I'll tell you what if I was in his shoes, Pardew would think I was his best mate, butter wouldn't melt to get out on that pitch – cursing the fool's every instruction under my breath if necessary.

Do it for purely selfish reasons if you couldn't care less about NUFC, do it for your career and your own prospects if Pardew does get the chop. Proving a point counts for nowt in professional obscurity.

"I'm sorry boss. You were right and I was wrong. I'm here, I'm fit and I want to be involved again in the first team so please give me another chance to earn my shirt back... (COUGH-Tosser!-COUGH)"

But no, he doesn't love the club enough to swalllow his pride does he?

    Unfair criticism...

And since we're on the topic, I think Cabella is utterly ****. His turn is slower than the QE2, his first touch is cumbersome like an Elephant with musth, his dribbling abilities and pace... Well, we've yet to see him bother with either of those just yet, he just seems to **** himself as soon as a defender blocks his path and thus proceeds to throw away possession with a useless final ball. His crosses are woeful, his corners (see crossing), his shooting is as pathetic as everyone else in the squad and his haircut is quite frankly laughable.

    Much improvement required <ok>

I'm not convinced TBH. I don't watch any Ligue 1 though, so maybe he just needs to go through period of adjustment. Aarons seems to be the real deal on the other hand, so I imagine we'll be selling him next summer.

He does need to toughen up a bit, but that's true for nearly all players who come from Ligue 1. Far too early to be writing him off after 3 games IMO.

Still thinks he's in France, will take time to adapt to the Premier League.
Ridiculous to be overly critical this early.

Meh, getting genuinely fed-up with this as an excuse now. If the premier league is the most intense, fastest, strongest league in the world, why don't our teams win the Champions League every year? For a time our teams did very well, and there was an opportunity for people to use that, but now physicality and fitness is pretty similar throughout the top leagues. If you thought about it for one second, and decided "well, the answer to the champions league question is that the continent teams are more technical"... Well then, why wouldn't teams here become more technical, if that beats pace and power?!

It's all bullshit. The truth of the matter is, there's place in our league for technical players and pacey players, like there is in any other league, there's just more competitive teams here, so players like Cabella get found out more frequently <ok>
