@davidmcintyre76: It seems Arsenal have come in for Remy, also activating release clause. #QPR

You know it makes sense, Loic.

Perhaps they will go into a bidding war with Chelsea and we'll get a few more quid out of it

Would be a much better move for him. He's not gonna get starts ahead of Costa at Chelsea and he's certainly better than Giroud and Sanogo.

Don't think they can? Either will only have to match the release value. He just gets to choose who he'd rather go to.

Radio on the way home spoke of £10.4m release clause.

Still cheap at half the price when you consider that Romelu Lukaku was sold to Everton for £28m.

Well he could fail the medicals, or fail to decide by Monday night, or be too confused by it all, and stay put

It'll be so typical of Wenger to miss out on Remy because he dithered when all he had to do was ask. Chelsea will top any wage offer Arsenal will make...

Still think he'll end up at Chelsea, sat on the bench and earning an extra £50,000 a week because of the competition for his signature. Jamie Redknapp said Arsenal would bid for him on soccer AM

having necked a bottle of Costieres de Nimes with my rib eye steak to celebrate our superb win today I have concluded that Loic will tell the Scum and the Arses to 'do one' and that he wants to help QPR stay up..

Sounds superb. It begs a new thread....

I celebrated with a fine buffet that my Lebanese friend cooked up. The best ever hummus; home made.

Enough food to feed an army; wonderful fresh flavours.

    As-Salaam-Alaikum.

Loic Remy the ultimate mercenary will go to the team offering the highest wages without caring if he is going to make the team or not, so that will be the scum! I just hope that when he comes back to play for whoever at the Bush we give him a Turkish style hostile reception!

He's only going to sit on the bench for either Arsenal or Chelsea, so if that's want he wants then good luck to him

why don't we blow Scum and Arse out and offer the Frog mercenary more wages than them..
Lakshmi Mittal is richer than the Village Idiot and the Arse Septics..
it would be a statement of intent and if Remi's goals could keep us up it would be good business as well as the ultimate wind up....

New contract drafted and offered on Friday.

All assumptions on my part here. But say he is on £65k a week at the moment, what's to say that we didn't offer him £130k per week to stay?

On this basis £6.72m per year would represent good value. What's more I'd wager that all release clauses would be removed too on any new contract allowing a sale in two years at £20m+.

Back down to earth though, as I'm a cynic, and suspect he will still leave. :(
