New contract drafted and offered on Friday. All assumptions on my part here. But say he is on £65k a week at the moment, what's to say that we didn't offer him £130k per week to stay? On this basis £6.72m per year would represent good value. What's more I'd wager that all release clauses would be removed too on any new contract allowing a sale in two years at £20m+. Back down to earth though, as I'm a cynic, and suspect he will still leave.
