Just a mention about our neighbours, a word to the good even. Four years now in the Premier League, top of the table, big money/big signings..will we ever emulate them?
We were clumsy again today, and much work is to be done to follow our blessed rivals into the big one! :emoticon-0103-cool:

I was surprised they went for Monk but it seems to be working out for them. Good luck to them.

Yes Masky, they are doing well, getting rid of many of the Spanish element seems to have worked so far.

Long season though but fair play can't fault them so far.

    Edit.

As for us early days, we got the backbone of a very good team, just hope players aren't picked for sentimentally reasons. The Championship is mostly played at 100mph we need to pick players who can keep up.

It is early days and we have a few tough games coming up. Lets see how things are come end Oct but very pleasing so far.

I see old Teflon Warnock got a goal out of Zaha today.

We may live in a council house, but by God have we got style!

P.s nice to see a positive thread about us. I think you will be up there this season. Hope to see another all Welsh PL Derby.

    Nice one :)

Sure, our lofty position may not last long...but if we fans cant enjoy days like today, whats the point in following a team?

Showing your class as usual my Bluebird mates! <cheers>

Nice thread and truly believe you will be challenging for a swift return to the Prem! Very strong and classy squad; don't see OGS's squad rotation as a problem - he seems to be keeping all his players on their toes (no one is guaranteed a regular place as there is always a quality player ready to come in).

Good luck for the rest of the season boys!

Fair play they've been fantastic. I wonder if someone might try and nick Dyer before the window closes though? I'm sure they'd be fine if he left but he really has taken the step to PL and looks like he could play top 6.

If we don't sort out the middle of the pitch the playoffs are the best we can hope for. WITTS IS NOT A CENTRE MID OLE!! I doubt he reads this, if he did he'd already know.... <laugh>

Wish them all the best in fairness. Monk seems to have them motivated. Hope we can join them next season again!

I've never understood the rivalry between our fans. When all is said and done we both sing the same Anthem and fly the same flag. We are the only Welsh teams that are ever likely to play at the highest level so should be supporting each other and not slagging each other off. I want Swansea to do well and their achievements in recent years have been remarkable. Survival in the first year in the Premiership provides the revenue to strengthen and to consolidate and in this respect Swansea have done really well with their choices of manager and the players acquired. I must say that the decision to sack Laudrup surprised me almost as much as the decision to appoint Monk. Clearly the decision makers in the club saw his potential and, although early days, it seems he has risen to the challenge.

Swansea are now years ahead of us and are an established Premiership side. It might be some years before we reach their level. Good luck to them.

It appears that nobody gives a s**t about your trolling these days Phil. Let's be honest after a 4 - 2 drubbing it drains you of banter due to embarrassment. Just imagine if Swanc lost 4 - 2 yesterday you would be :emoticon-0112-wonde............... hang on a minute.
