A couple of injuries and they're ****ed in my opinion. However if they stay fit and can play the same team, they could go on and do well like newcastle did a few years ago, and like you said, southampton
Shocking refereeing throughout. But we lost the game when we collapsed in the last ten minutes of the first half. No one to blame but ourselves imo.
thats our first defeat in 6 away games mate. we need some players in yeah, but i wouldnt say we're that **** away from home
Were just not playing our best system yet. We should have learned from last year to be honest. Wickham up top and 2 quick players either side of him. Thats how we played when we got the results against Man City, Chelsea and Man U last season. It does not take a genius to figure out where were going wrong.
Bit of over-reaction going on here I reckon, not the end of the world. We're bound to lose games, everyone does
Stoke were shocking last week against Hull, but this week they won at Man City. 1 bad performance shouldn't signal doom and gloom
Its just frustrating that when we come up against poor opposition who dont particularly play very well, we still tend to lose! It happened regularly last season! The end of last season showed that we are capable of playing well, I just hoped that we continued that type of form! Though with key players leaving since then, perhaps I was being too optimistic! It might take some games before we settle down. But I hope we pick up some sneaky wins/points before we actually do get settled!
We can beat anyone on our day as last season showed mate. Simple as that. I'll be worried if we don't bring another three players in minimum prior to the window shutting though.
I didn't think we were that bad - not great, but we at least matched QPR apart from the 10 mins before HT. It's obvious that Fletcher isn't working out, I'm sure Gus will make a change for Spurs. Really strange game for the ref - missed 4 or 5 blatant fouls and then booked Giacc when Barton obviously fouled him. Odd!
I feel annoyed that we're playing a striker at left wing to accommodate a striker who isn't what the system requires, and in doing so we're leaving out Buckley who is direct and can get past players which is what we needed from the start today. Also if Borini or anyone else for that matter comes in is Fletcher going to remain up front and Wickham left on the bench?
I'd be very surprised if that is the case I predict against Spurs we'll see Alvarez on the left and Wickham down the middle
I hope so, as much as i think Fletcher is a good striker, he isn't cutting it for me in this system at the minute.
