Looking at the Nottingham Forest game on TV now and it struck me how similar Andy Reid is to Whitts. Reid is slow but is playing some beautiful passes and is an important part of their midfield. Whitts, with the right support, can be very effective but the problem is our balance in midfield which at the moment is non existent.
Watching the same game. Loovens hasn't changed. 5 games in and he's going to be suspended. 5 bookings in 5 games. Burke looking sharp.
Cardiff team vs Fulham Marshall, Brayford, Fabio, Connolly, Morrison, Dikagchoi, Whitts, Daehli, Pilks, Le Fondre and Jones A creative but lightweight midfield?
Fulham thoughts? Nice pub before the game staffed by smiling and helpful young ladies. Even though the beer was bloody expensive. Lovely walk along the river to the ground through Bishop's Park. Good chat with some Fulham fans on the tube back. The game - instantly forgetable. I thought the aim was to win by as many goals as possible. Does Ole know that? Did we have all of 3 shots on target?
BFB, what did you make of the stewarding? it was a disgrace, i arrived and my seat was taken by other people that the stewards couldn't be arsed to remove and then just told me to go to a different stand. then i got there, told to go into one part next to the cardiff fans, got down to watch the match, then another steward comes over to me and my mates to go somewhere else, all the while the CCFC fans giving them plenty of stick about how they were treating us that day. finally got down to watch the match with 5 mins already gone. the first half was crap, and we showed no signs of scoring, but second half we played a bit better. towards the end we were happy to take the point which disappointed me, but i think OGS just decided to cut his losses tbh…………
Hi Swamp No problems where I was sat - a nice view of the river. Glad it wasn't raining as would certainly have got wet. What I did notice was the stewards at each entrance gangway were fussy in ensuring each person's ticket was for that gangway. Normally we just pile in and sit/stand wherever we like. If someone is in your seat you just move on to another one and if the ticket holder for that seat then turns up he moves on. I didn't realise until I saw our goal on BBC news this morning (I couldn't bring myself to watch the Football League Show) that a block of probably 100/200 seats immediately behind the goal at our end were sectioned off and not used. No idea why?
i must admit it was my first championship away day, did a few in the PL and the fans were treated much better than that…..
