Please Rangers win this afternoon...I cannot take any more of this introspection. Not every breath Arry makes means something He cannot control the Remy buy out clause He cannot control the media linking us to every living/breathing man in the UK (no the world) who has ever played football He cannot be blamed for not signing every one of those "living/breathing men in the UK (no the world) who has ever played football" You cannot blame Arry simultaneously for letting Ale play on Wednesday and getting injured and then not playing all the big guns to win the match We cannot blame Arry for not caring about the cup and then rant because we are out the cup. Tony cannot be blamed at the same time for doing something/not doing something... He cannot be blamed simultaneously for being supportive and letting Arry get away for murder. Do you actually think that some one who has (successful) had a full and successful career in football is causing this mayhem on purpose. Do you not think all the people in QPR are not trying to the best for themselves and in doing so our club The players are delicate beasts that thrive on confidence and support. What we are doing on this board...and on the other boards...is winding ourselves up to a complete negative frenzy (after only 2 matches ffs!). This will not help especially if it spills out of the stands on to the pitch 10 days ago we said we had phenomenal signings, we are now in meltdown Harold Wilson said a week was a long time in Politics........he had obviously never managed QPR I am going to HQ today...and win, draw or lose I am going shout for my team...please do the same
The sentiment is fair Beth but I think we can blame Harry for not caring about the cup and then rant if we go out - that's consistent enough. I also think it's fair to want something more tangible than best endeavours from all the people being paid millions. Is the chaos spreading from the forum to the club, or vice-versa, or it's is just overzealousness (?) by all of us? That said, today's Saturday and you're spot on about putting the week aside and renewing the fervent support and the hopes that go with supporting any football team. Sing loudly, I'll be sending nervously optimistic vibes as always.
Well said Beth. One of our songs used to be 'whatever the season, we';ll follow our team'. We are back in the Prem ffs - you are right. We need support.
Was his reaction not enough to show you he cared!? The team he played was, or should have been good enough to beat league two opponents. They had a great chance to show him what they were made of and to fight for a starting place in the league, but they capitulated. That is not Harry's fault. Personal dislike of Rednapp should not get in the way of the facts of the situation, which unfortunately seems to be the case with most of the people who continuously bash him. Today it's all his fault for Remy, even though he had nothing to do with the contract negotiations. Yesterday it was his fault for Ale's injury. Everything negative is put at his feet, but you don't hear those people saying "ok I don't like him, but well done for persuading the best up and coming keeper to chose us over Tottenham and Liverpool. Why not? Give credit where it's due and not only pick on the negatives and maybe you'd give your arguments for the negatives some credence. But no matter what's going on, it should never spill over to the support on match day which happens too often at loftus road. Now is the time to give the best support in order to give the team confidence to stop the rot and hopefully turn things around.
Woah! Steady on there Lone. Read the OP, my point was about the phrasing - please re-read. IF the manager doesn't care then we do have the right to complain. That's not unreasonable. Saying we should focus on the league, to a point, is not unreasonable either but I feel sorry for 600 people that went to see an under strength side. Even with all the players rested we didn't play those picked in their prefered positions otherwise, who was the striker. Perhaps don't risk Remy but we do have a youth team, some of whom were involved in pre-season. A specialist striker is a must for any game, even if he's 18. I've commended the signings and want nothing but a win today.
Yup thank u Rrrs.... Everyone seems so much more positive. good performance and good win. Fantastic atmosphere. We can look to the future now with out self- harming ourselves. Keep positive lads we r QPR and we will survive. Come on you RRs
Nice to put a face to a name. Perhaps today was the start of an upward climb. It was a good performance, just what the doctor ordered
Nice to see you again Beth. As Terry says, welcome to the half time think tank. It could become a thing of legend.
Legendary.....I had heard that it was piped directly into the home dressing room. Arry takes his lead from Cols analysis. Loved the discussion whether it was 4-3-3 or 4-4-1-1
Well, that's the last time I stand in for you on The Indy R's vox pop! At least we all kept to the half time mantra of not saying that we will win! Was that Col who issued that instruction? I will follow it for the rest of the season!
