He went to the chavs (Coventry) at the other end of the M69. Have always rated Simpson as a decent pro. Am surprised you (Harry and TF) want to let him go.
Apparently Redknapp confirmed it to one of our local reporters after the recorded part of the Press Conference: http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/crystal-palace-and-leicester-city-table-bids-for-qpr-players
Can we not find a club to take Redknapp off our hands. Traore I could accept and understand, but Simpson is definitely "the right sort". If we sell him it shows that something is seriously wrong at our club. The next 3 days will tell, he hasn't gone yet. What a shambles we appear to be, yet again. So much for having a positive, team spirit building pre season.
Never really rated him. Decent Championship player. Not too sure he can cut it in the Prem. Hopefully we will replace him and Traore with better players although the timing in terms of planning and not making panic buys could have been better, ie not last minute. We could be the darlings again of SSN on Monday which is not a good thing.
I wouldn't want to swear on this but would the board allow someone like Simpson to go without having some kind of replacement in the pipeline? I know they are not involved with tactic and things like that but even they can look at the squad and realise it might leave us light in that position.
Or maybe the club does know what they're doing and Leicester have offered us too much to turn down for someone who may only be back up. Of course, I don't know any facts, but that goes for most of us.
Sounds to me they have had a difference in opinions and Harry is happy to let him go. We have De laet who i rate as a better player! but Danny under Pearson may prove to be the better player? a good bit of business where we are short of quality defenders. I do worry about you boys under Harry, he has a history of spending lots of dough and then leaving.....Good luck for the rest of the season and for what its worth i think both of us will survive at the expense of Burnley, Villa and either West Brom or Sunderland.
Simpson did not manage the step up with Newcastle, and looked poor in preseason. Does not like the new formation. Looked suspect in a flat back four. If Leicester offered decent money, I think it is an obvious choice. More worried about losing Triaore, who is a much more versatile player
Palace could well be down there. I don't have an issue with Warnock but I don't think he quite has enough to be a prem manager. I could be wrong though.
I agree he probably isn't quite good enough for a Premier League starting place, but my worry is that we are ripping the heart out of our promoted squad. Both Simpson and Traore are good enough to be part of our squad, and certainly in Simpson's case he is 'the right sort'.
When posters on here were talking about our team I stated on many occasions that Harold will be moulding a new team and the likes of Simpson Austin etc would be lucky to play
However good Fans think he may or may not be, he's earned his chance to prove it either way. Charlie Austin may or may not turn out to be a PL player- but for the sake of cohesion/team spirit you give him his shot. You give anyone who performed consistently well last season their shot. What happened to fans feeling a connection to the players too? We've consistently watched Danny graft for us and I'd like to think we have an affinity with him. Why be so hasty to bomb out proper QPR player for fancy foreigners? (and loans, at that). Gorkks, Hill, Orr, Kenny, Helguson. All regrettably dumped last time round. Lessons learned?
