Agree but itâs easier to play against 10 men if you donât need to score, whereas Stoke City did. We absolutely tormented a 10 man Sunlan away from home because we were 1-0 up early on.
Bruce must be confident of securing Hernandez as he doesn't seem to mentioned any other strikers in the frame this week, No chance of Sagbo leaving as things stand during this transfer window. Are we really that desperate for a midfielder? We survived all last season with the ones we have at present. Even if we don't manage to bring one in, it shouldn't be the difference between Premier League safety and relegation. There are far weaker squads than ours, such as the 3 promoted teams. Considering the players we have been linked with any midfielder, especially van Ginkel would help us kick on
I believe we do need a midfielder. I feel we have four decent centre midfielders and when you play 3 in the middle, you need one or two more. We have Meyler, Hudd, Livermore and Quinn. Meyler doesn't look up to it at the minute so that leaves us with 3. If we have an injury, we're screwed.
This is so stupid. Your point is basically no team should improve the squad they have. It's like saying Man City don't need to buy anyone to win the league again this year. Despite all rivals improving their squads. Surely you want to finish higher than last year.
Have to agree with some of the above at the moment we are looking thin on the ground in midfield with the long term injury to Snodgrass if anything happens to Livermore or Huddlestone soon the season would be difficult for us, Bruce is building a team steadily for a top 10 position we shouldn't be looking at just surviving in the league with the players we have and the money been spent lately. Bruce just needs to find that midfield attacking flair in the central area to push on.
I guess that's where the rumour about a bid for Salihovic from Hoffenheim comes in. Bosnian international midfielder, costing about £5m.
Am I right in thinking that we must still have a lot of money left in the transfer kitty. Hernandez, Michael Dawson, Diame, Cleverly, Van Ginkel and Salihovic. Don't expect to get them all but... I know Dawson has signed btw.
