I mentioned it last night, but this quote really tickled me: You want to rebuild some trust? Start by ****ing sacking Woy.
Yeah, at half-time I took the dog out for a swift piss, came back in and heard the dullard droning on in the break. I noticed someone (you?) posting that he had almost sent 'em into a coma......
I met a couple of guys a few weeks ago that only go to England games, never go to club games, I find that very strange.
The best time for english support was when Wembley was shut. I know they have to pay off Wembley dept but it wouldn't hurt to have one or two friendlies at Old Trafford or St James park again. Roy's doing the right thing by selecting potential players but we need someone else other than him in charge. Unfortunately I can't think of an English manager who's better that the FA would employ
I thought this but I don't think the FA would want him. He doesn't quite match their mould they go for
When you say doing the right thing you mean looking at who the player plays for instead of form and listening far to much in what the managers of the top clubs want him to do/say I assume?
until England beat a top nation we can't consider ourselves a big football international side when was the last time we did that? Germany away 2001
Paul Scholes and Alan Shearer for England!...wud never happen of course..far too dynamic for must inc and esp the old farts sat right now in comftable leather seats, smoking cigars n drinking brandy at the F.A
It doesnt matter who the manager is though just look at the squad it ain't very inspiring Although Roy gets right on my nerves with his ****e talk
true grit performance pen won by Owen redemption for Becks as he slots it home backs to the wall 70% possession Argentina.. 1-0 remember it well.. was in Turkey
Well said. The Brazil match, in the same tournament, started the disappointment with the "golden generation". We were 2-1 down, and we did sod all against 10 men for more than half an hour. We should've done so much more with the players we had in the last decade.
I was in Ibiza when that match was on, I can't remember much about it but my old man said that the bar we was in was full of people supporting the Argies, and about 4 people including me and the old man were supporting England. Bloody superb. I have that match on DVD somewhere.
Totally agree with you on both points especially playing elsewhere. I am considering going to an England game at Wembley for this qualifying but £30 for a friendly? That is a joke. £15 and I might have made the trip.
