Apparently the Police were called to a party just north of Sheffield as a care home had notified them that they feared a girl was being abused, the police turned up and arrested the girl for being drunk and disorderly. Only 5 people have been arrested. 5. 1400 were abused. They better get more locked up sharpish, theur rep will noever recover otherwise.
Saw a report on the news yesterday with a 14 year old girl who had been groomed and raped over and over for years - told the police after one night they made her have sex with upteen people one after the other and she told her parents. The police turned up, took evidence from her, clothes and internal... Phoned the parents a few nights after to let them know that they had lost the evidence. I mean seriously, what the f** are we dealing with here?
I doubt it is just Rotherham where this is happening, there was Rochdale a few years back. Its worrying
Two fathers who traced their daughters to houses were they where being abused were arrested for trespass and aggressive behavior when they tried to get them back. One of the problems seemed to be that a lot of the girls involved thought of their abuses as their boyfriends, possibly as a result of being from dysfunctional families, the type of families/girls the abusers targeted. There is no excuse for the "lost evidence" which suggests the Police were scared of being accused of being racist, bearing in mind the nationality/origins of the majority of the abusers. Suggests the PC Brigade held to much sway Apparently local Councillors were aware of the problem but decided it was "best dealt with within their own community"

Is there not also a SY police officer employed at the time arrested for the very same crimes.? Listened to police reps on five live the other day trying to justify to Richard Bacon how a case was not pursued because they believed the 11 year old girl was promiscuous. When it takes Bacon to remind them that under the law it doesn't matter if an 11 year old is naked wearing a sign saying "sleep with me" it's rape...... The other excuse was, wait for it: there were so many cases and accusations that you got hardened to it and found it easier to dismiss. What? As opposed to what every other reasonable person would think which is "wow! We have a serious problem going on here!"???? And final excuse? Lack of resources. Really? so when the 11 year old girl claims she's been gang raped, what? Only the second or third most serious crime you can commit in this country, the police went, "sorry love we've assigned our cash and manpower to a burglary special this month"????? There should be a body for police forces like in education that when a school fails they step in and take over the running, ruthlessly setting senior management tasks that their continued employment is reliant on. Fail again and your dismissed. That force needs scrapped, everyone given minimum redundancy and they can reapply for their jobs under the new structure and management....See how many would actually pass the fit and proper tests..... Ignore any noncey eu rulings about it just like Italy, France, Spain and Germany do when it suits them.

Billy, I think it's far more complex than that. I'm not suggesting that there aren't child molesters etc in the police (SYC in this case) and in the ranks of politicians. But as these reports are making clear the numbers of children and the nature of the offences were know for a very very long time. Now I'm going to stick my neck out and say that a major reason why little or nothing was done was due to the racial nature of the offences and the slavish devotion to the miss-guided concept of multiculturalism. Despite the claims from Pakistani communities this was a race based crime and no amount of wailing from them can remove that fact. Yet because we cling to multiculturalism our response has been derailed and confused. Because the host community have been sold the lie of multiculturalism they have become confused as to what their response should be and this has spread into the echelons of the police and local authorities. Had the perpetrators been from the 'host community' it would have been stomped on far more quickly. But that host community has been told repeatedly that it is prejudiced if it rejects any element of imported cultures. The Pakistani community have always been more than eager to play the race card and this has led to confusion and down right cowardice. Now I am taking the risk here of being tagged as an old inveterate bigot - a tag I reject. Until such times as the host British community come together to paint a picture of what British culture actually is and how the law of the land should reflect that then the more of this type of situation will keep recurring. As for those police officers and councillors who were responsible and did nothing then they deserve all of the approbation and hopefully legal penalties that are coming their way. But let's not just think this is limited to Rotherham, we already know that the problem is far wider. If that is so then how can the Pakistani communities around the country hide behind the cloak of "we didn't know" but point at the failings of police and local authorities?
sorry to be blunt but basically **** off. Yes the "care system" in the past did have higher than average amounts of peadophiles in their ranks but now the only thing that the care system is riddled with now is housewives and students looking for part time/flexible working and people who actually give a **** about the people they are supporting. This particular issue is a massive race issue, a huge part of why this was not sorted earlier was (like Bradford) the issues was being pushed by the BNP and then I think the graudian (times maybe) picked it up and did proper investigations but the race issue was still a huge factor why the SS were scared to get involved and it was just too much work for SYP who had much easier targets to hit.

My missus works in the care system and has done since she was 16. My best mate grew up in the same "care" system and if I had all night I still couldn't list all the **** he went through.
