I am into my sixth decade of supporting SAFC and I can relate to Douglas's points. Over that time we have hired potentially the best managers going who turned out to be duds for us. In that time I can recall only about a dozen good seasons when the team played well and were a joy to watch. Whilst I would never stop hoping and supporting, the years have given me enough reality checks about seeing ordinary players and teams that were going nowhere. Now though they are severely overpaid but that is the way football has gone. This one is taking shape after our great escape but still has some way to go.
**** me theres some hang your self now. comments 9on here. We have wasted far to much money on ****e. Acouple of quid more we could have had decent players. For ****s sake lets settle this year with a couple of players in to fill holes and move forward. We dont move forward, like we should, we hang onto players as if they are world beaters. That pisses me off when we dont move forward. Google has popped up loads of spelling mistakes and I cant be aarsed to correct them. Sorry!
Yeah and whenever we beat the mags I'm one of the people who cheer the loudest, supporting them was just a youthful indiscretion.
Really? So how comes you were logged onto this thread for a good 20 minutes after Knives question? I can even see you looking at this thread now,
Thought you were the boss? If a perk of being a boss is queueing for 7 hours in an invisible line for Wembley tickets you were guaranteed then you can surf the forum any time. Perk init.
