Several years back I met Joe Calzaghe.

I say 'met', we actually exchanged a grunt and a acknowledging nod whilst both enjoying a large mixed meat and chips from Marmaris Kebab House in Pontypool late on a Saturday evening!

I was in an episode of Spender....kind of met Jimmy Nail (he came over and told me to stop taking photo's of him).

Had a kiss off Cheryl Baker at the Eurovision Song Contest when I was a nipper and she was in Bucks Fizz.

Got Frank Bruno's autograph at some show years ago when I was little.

I also went to school with Jill Halfpenny

    Love motorsport :)

I used to do rallying, and its a great sport for the 'stars' mixing with the grassroots. Forgot I also met Shane Lynch (the ugly one from Boyzone - says the ugly one from 'not in a mega band') when he was rallying. Went up to him with a camera at the Bulldog Rally in Builth Wells and saw that look of resignation while still wanting to be polite, just before handing him the camera and asking him to take a pic of me and my driver (I was a co-driver). He seemed to take it in good spirit.

I used to live 7 miles from Silverstone and went along to loads of the free practice sessions (before they banned them all) and got to walk through the pits on most days and chat to the drivers. For all his arrogant reputation, Michael Schumacher was one of the friendliest with regular fans.

She was doing some work for me in Beccles, Norfolk and I took her out for lunch. Not only was she a stunner but as lovely a person as you could meet. Photo'd with her sat on my knee.

Used to get the autographs at the cricket as a kid, met people like Alec Stewart, Darren Gough and had the mick taken out of me by Liz Hurley's ex (Shane Warne).

Me and a mate were offered a fiver a night in the 60's to be seconds in the wrestling. Seconded for Les Kellett, Abe Ginsberg, the Royal brothers, and Kendu Negasaki. Also Bobby Barnes and Adrian Street, both with long bleached blonde hair, who pranced about more camp than Larry Grayson, with everyone assuming they were gay. We had a drink with them after, and their girlfreinds came in once all the crowd had gone. Dear God, both were absolute STUNNERS!

They left two 18 year olds drooling and with hormones in a very serious inbalance.

Later on met Kathy Staffs (Nora Batty) in Yugoslavia. she held our little one at the airport while the wife and I went for a coffee. What a lovely lady

The list of people whom I have met is staggeringly large but then I've been around a bit.

The few whom I remember that I've met, and admire, and were absolutely wonderful people were:
    Alexis Korner
    Albert Lee
    Roger Chapman
    Phil Tufnell
    Will Carling

Plus about every trainer and jockey that I have ever met. All wonderful people one and all.

I sat next to Penny Lancaster-Stewart for a meal awards night in London. She chatted and was nice.

in the early 90's I was invited to a Pro-Celebrity Golf day and had been promised that Peter Beardsley would be in my foursome.

Got to say I was really looking forward it, but on the day, Beardo couldn't make it and he was replaced by NEVILLE WANLESS, of Tyne Tees News. Neville 'bloody' Wanless when you think you're getting Beardo. <wah>

As it turned out, it was a good day, and Neville was actually a good laugh, but not as much as the group in front, which included Frank Carson, he was cracking all the way around the course. <laugh>
