I guess Niall Quinn was right, he has moved on to bigger and better things.

Very pleasing to have someone from the club back in the international fold and based on his two performances this season I'd say he deserves it too.

Don't think so. Cattermole far too reckless for an international side. His disciplinary record is bad enough but he'd be off in every game with some of these foreign refs.

This!......lets be honest in an ideal world neither of them would be anywhere near the international set up! I think that's the bigger issue here!
Also I know some might not agree but how can Willo not get a call up? hes streets ahead of jones ffs???

TBF to Sunderland fans I can understand their reaction - he has done f** all to deserve an England call-up. Nice to see the ****y reaction though!

    Cattermole is a c**t .

On another note, the SMB forums have a current thread on BCFC and most seem to hate Birmingham and the Midlands in general. This is disgusting, vile and should not be tolerated.

    Love this quote from Hodgson.

"I spoke to someone who knows him well and he called him The Ginger Pirlo and it would be nice if he turned out like that.
"I was impressed with him last year and he has an awful lot to offer. He is a very talented player. Suddenly we have lost Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Michael Carrick. Jack plays in a position where vacancies can quickly arise and we will see how he gets on."

Not the English Pirlo, but the Ginger one <laugh>

Anyway, get this boy on free-kicks, he's the Ginger Pirlo don't you know!

The amount of Butthurt in their thread is hilarious. If Colback does get a run out I expect it'll be in the friendly game against Norway, rather than the Qualifier against the Swiss.

Lascelles and Aarons have been called up for the U21s and U20s respectively

After the shambles of the world cup and now comments like this I just want Roy gone more than ever, tactically out thought by every team we played and basing selections on what people tell him down the pub, we are a joke to every other footballing country!!

To be fair when Cattermole, Johnson and Wickham join the Newcastle English revolution at the end of the season/January, they'll be in their too. We juts need our feeder club to do their job properly and improve them like a good little club.

It's handy out-sourcing our youth system, I find. Just one of the many bright money-saving strategies from our wonderfully stringent owner <ok>

How long til these lads are out of contract? <laugh>

Because players get picked cos of who they play for. And i'm not talking about Colback but plenty of other players aswell. Just look at this squad what has Chambers, Townsend or Milner done to be called up, **** all.
