I stated I don't watch much of it, stop trying to force Italian football on me I'm not interested. Good for you, I gave you a few examples that you asked for, so **** if I was swayed by the media do you expect every person to travel and immerse themselves in the culture to form an opinion for **** sake? I've watched a 'great' Roma side slapped around Old Trafford and beaten comprehensively when I was reliably informed they'd take us to the cleaners by several Italians that I do business with. I've seen a promising kid turn into a 'world class star' in a few games by making a move to Italy. Yeah I'd take Vidal because he pisses all over that league, he's way too good for it. Pogba wouldn't be welcome back at United. ****ing boring.
That's a great example for me mind. Now, I dunno how many Argentinian internationals, that were chosen for a World Cup in such a powerful midfield, ahead of heaps of others who are quality, are '****e'. Like you say, some players suit certain styles of football. Your take on Calciopoli is extraordinary, and I say this speaking as a big Fiorentina fan with an Italian grandmother, who watched every step of the case.
Well don't know about anybody else but he looks good to me and he has played for Inter Milan 90 times which has to mean something even if they aren't the force they used to be surely!! And if he is only good enough for a mid table premiership team as suggested above then surely Man Utd would have been in for him also, unless this is going to be Cleverleys, Fletchers, Andersons, Kagawas or Young's year to shine????
Get him in, if Gus likes him I trust the decision. Lets face it Buckley was 2.5m and looks a steal if this guy is worth 10m..... happy days. Looks to me like were just waiting for the last piece of the jigsaw be it: Borini, Welbeck, Kalou or someone else.
Who had a better season last time out - Palacio or Tevez? And which one was chosen for the world cup? Even the most staunch Interista in the world would swap players but some managers like certain players for whatever reason. What is extraordinary about it? There isnt a single accusation of match-fixing in Calciopoli.
It's the fact that, as a self confessed Inter fan, you say there was 'no evidence'. There was, all of it stacked against the 2 Milanese clubs, Inter got off scott-free, indeed were handed a title for it, whilst Juve were bewilderingly relegated to Serie B. The teams that were punished were the incorrect teams, cast iron agree with you there, but there WAS a scandal, it involved Inter, Milan, Galliano & Morratti. Everyone is aware of the Parma game when Inter were blowing out of there arse (this is the season Juve were unfairly demoted, by the way...) when Roma had it won only for Parma to stop playing and more or less give Inter a walkover goal from Ibra. Smaller clubs were sent down several divisions for far lesser acts with less evidence than that stacked against, and bizarrely not allowed to be presented, against the Milan clubs. Admittedly, the influence will have been from Milan rather than Inter, and Mr Berlusconni, but both Milan clubs should have been demoted, Juve reinstated, and there legitimately earned league title returned, indeed, most of Italy outside Milan, including Fiorentina who loathe Juve due to centuries old issues with the city of Turin, acknowledge that additional league title for Juve. It was as big a scandal hushed up as the one that Juve were demoted for with zero evidence to back it up.
Yes, I acknowledged and agreed with that, I said it was a bizarre outlook you had on the case based on being an Inter fan, against whom the evidence was pretty damning. To say there is no corruption in Italian football is wildly inaccurate, and I say this as a fan of Italian football. Lecce were relegated 5 divisions just 2 years back!
In England Ronnie Moore was sacked and banned for betting against his OWN team. Claus Lundekvam admitted many occasions of illegal spot betting on his OWN games which had a far greater impact on results than anything Conte was banned for. Yet all we hear about is match fixing in Italy while it's brushed under the carpet in England...
I'm not arguing that mate, not for a second, I responded as you'd suggested there was no corruption to be had, simply due to a miscarriage of justice v Juve. Fancy a wee sportsmans bet for Inter v Fiorentina?
Yes - I'll have Fiorentina I seriously fancy them not just for a UCL spot but to push Roma all the way for the title. Having Gomez and Rossi both back (hopefully) is like getting an £80m strike force. As long as Cuadrado stays and remains focussed that's a forward line to match any in world football and I genuinley mean that. Inter will do well to get 5th again.
Jesus I wish I never said the C word now... Bum Crab, mate, seriously, forget I said it. You claimed there was no corruption, it was only one of my reasons to be fair and you've not addressed the racism ones which are far more important to me. I'm sure you can find a racist fan in England too mate.
Ha, busted... Yeah well ahead of Inter at minute, seen an easy chance I think Cuadrado will stay, I didn't, but now I don't see where he can go, United were the likeliest but with di Maria, no. Barca haven't moved. I love watching him, sometimes his decisions are woeful, but when he gets it right he can rip anyone apart. I honestly think if Gomez & Rossi had been fit all season easily have taken 3rd, and been close to the top 2, Valero has been incredible in Italy, a real captain, and we'll be improved again by Alonso having been brought on at Sunderland. If we don't get CL, it's been a monumental coaching **** up. Roma looked like favourites, but losing Benatia, not just his ability but his directing of the entire back 4, that's a potential season changer for me. Inter looked very good when I watched them last Thursday mind, admittedly v weak oppo, they just seem to have a parachute attached to them going forward since Mourinho.
Fans views on him http://forzainterforums.com/showthread.php?9438-Ricardo-Ricky-Alvarez&p=1299899#post1299899 The poll would suggest he's highly thought of by 250 voters
The only worry I might have about him is he was muscled out of two games last season. If that's the case, he might not take too well to English football - another case of Scocco or da Silva. But let's wait and see.
