Losing Long was unexpected but it looks like we're about to sign a replacement, Ince looks lively, Robertson has been fantastic on the left and Dawson/Maguire strengthen our options for the back three. 2) Was selling Shane Long, after such a short spell at the KC, the right decision? At £12m, yes. He's a good player and I would've been happy for him to stay but I don't see him as an out and out goalscorer, more someone who gets into space and creates chances. We have other players who can also do that. 3) Do you feel the FA Cup proved a distraction last season? Could the Europa League prove to be a distraction this season? Maybe the final was right at the end of the season (mostly due to the media constantly claiming it was) but I'd take another FA Cup run any day. Same with Europe, I hope we have a good run there. 4) Where do you think you will finish this season? I can see 13th - 15th being realistic. Higher would be a bonus, 16th - 17th a little disappointing with our squad now. He makes things tick for Chelsea in a way they've missed lately and finds a way to open teams up when it looks like a draw is on the cards. Could be what then need to get wins from tight games. Worst... could be Balotelli if his attitude hurts team spirit too much. Suarez was a twit but at least his teammates liked him. Low investment, no real quality in depth. Some very good players (Vlaar) and some who've seemed to struggle for a number of seasons now (Nzogbia). 7) Which Aston Villa player would you like to have in your Hull City team and why? I would've said Vlaar before we signed Dawson, but now I wouldn't really want to drop either Davies or Chester.
