Its expected to be Wayne Rooney, good choice in my opinion, he's the most experienced player in that team.

Rooney isn't a leader... but yes, he'll get the captaincy because Roy is an idiot.

Not even remotely interested. My football loyalty is exclusive to the Republik of Mancunia

  7. Same. Rooney will get it but he's not a vocal or example leader IMO

I would go without a captain, none of the team are worthy of such an accolade

Joe Hart is. Very vocal, passionate and likely to be first choice for a long time. Rooney only gets vocal when he's abusing officials

Agree with Krome, Joe Hart is the best choice!

No, Hart is not a leader (same as Rooney) , and only an average goal keeper

    This.

Just do what Spain do and give it to the player with the most caps, then tell the entire team to man up and be leaders. Seems like no team other than England makes such a ****ing meal out of who gets to wear an armband.

Sorry disagree, hart is not a leader or a good enough goal keeper, to many errors, but he is the best England have.

He had a bad season, doesn't make him an average keeper. The likes of Foster are average keepers, Hart is much better than that. He is also a leader both for City and England, as Krome said he is vocal and passionate.

tbf I don't think Rooney is a bad choice, I didn't mind who got it as long as it was one of Hart/Rooney/Cahill
