Lets see if Adel actually puts a shift in. I've been the first to slate him but I hope he makes me eat my words. In truth I didn't think he'd ever play for us again.
So why do nearly ALL premiership managers play HUGELY weakened teams? Because they don't give a ****e about this cup, Including Man utd. It's not the first time they've been embarrassed in this cup, even when they were under Ferguson and a better team. I saw us win the championship playoff trophy last season...and the the championship title a couple years earlier. But when it comes to priorities staying in the Premier league trumps any run in the League cup. That's the sad state of affairs...teams at the top are more interested in champions league qualification, teams at the bottom are trying to stay up. I'm not saying the team put out tonight is the right thing to do, and the reasons given for playing other players are good reasons. I'm saying nobody should have been surprised at the line up based on the previous seasons choices.
If that's how we'll line up then as you say the 3-5-2 is ditched. This would be the perfect place to practice it, better than any pre season game. If we line up in 3-5-2 on Saturday without working on it tonight I would call it gross negligence from HR and staff.
Burton nearly scores again! "QPR are (sic) making all this trouble themselves". "QPR are (sic) giving them too much respect". Hmmm!!
Commentator has sussed Hoilett's weakness already "He never goes outside so the fullback knows how to track him"
I cannot believe he'd ditch 3-5-2 already, regardless of Sunday's result. But then again, I can't believe that we wouldn't be practising it tonight with some players that need match practice!
Only just logged on...nice surprise to get radio commentary via online.... Weird line up from Harold....tombola worked overtime on that one.... C'mon U R's.....
