I do agree Cromer. I liken the situation at Man U to Tony Blair at number 10 in that Gordon Brown was banging on the door saying let me in let em do it and when the whole hill of sh*t was about to tumble, teflon Tony let him in and the rest is history. Similarly SAF squeezed every last drop out of an ageing and not brilliant squad and let first Moyes and now van Gaal take the hit. That said, I was staggered that they were humiliated by MK Dons, 4-0 was an amazing scoreline.
The irony being it was on the same day that they just spent a new British transfer record fee of just shy of £60m Hope you got nice deep pockets, ManUre owners
I was speaking to a Manure fan yesterday, and we were discussing the need for a new CB to be the rock at the heart of their defence that Fergie always had right from Bruce/Pallister through to Vidic and Ferdinand via Jaap Stam and he was trying to tell me that Johnny Evans is that man and is ready to step up and be the main man at the back for them. I haven't spoken to him yet today (probably avoid him for a bit) but it would be interesting to hear if he still thinks the same this morning.....
I must say that I have no particular interest in Man Utd and started this thread as a bit of fun, but answering your point Munky, I have never rated Evans and have always thought that he was never up to Premiership quality. I wouldn't want him at CR.
Yeh...I mean, what kind of **** would lose 4-0 to MK Dons?! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/14539084
Thank you Fleet, I do think though that Man Utd is the bigger story sadly. That was a bad night for sure!!!
Just seen this http://newsthump.com/2014/08/27/david-moyes-hospitalised-following-prolonged-laughing-fit/
You won't get any argument from me there, Thurnby. I watched it and it was surreal. Just couldn't resist
Very valid point, it's more proof of Ferguson's ability as a manager to get some average players to perform well, friends of mine who support United have been whinging for the past two seasons that their midfield and defence are absolutely atrocious.
After all the years of swagger and bollocks given off by Manure, for all the trophies and honours won, I'm absolutely bloody loving the way the club is floundering around at present. I'm sure they'll come good again but there's no harm in enjoying it until then.
Just to take some of the pressure off United, Burton Albion now have a 1-0 lead over QPR with only a few minutes left! Was goin on Arry?
How brilliant is this - http://metro.co.uk/2014/08/27/manch...ns-to-beat-red-devils-4-0-by-mistake-4847215/
